What's this idea of America
The dream of a dreamers land
To get to do something we are proud of
Or unprivileged to another hand
We've grown older and more complicated
With everyone wanting their way
What about the good for each other
Throwing pennies out just for lucks sake
Wanting more and more and not pausing
For the moments we will never have again
To focused on our profits to not just sit back
And soak it in

Like ants we walk
But with cars we drive
Like atoms we bond
But with phones we survive
A life with no present
Just to hear people say

You are strong
You are kind
You are powerful
It's all in your mind
You're not too old
Or too young
You can make it if you try

What's this idea of America
The dream of a dreamers land
To get to do something we are proud of
Or unprivileged to another hand
Moving mountains just to say we did it
Not because it will change a thing
We move our waters so people can surround it
Without flowing with tide, to watch it wave again

Like ants we walk
But with cars we drive
Like atoms we bond
But with phones we survive
A life with no present
Just to hear people say

You are strong
You are kind
You are powerful
Its all in your mind

You're not too old
Or too young
You can make it if you try
We are the moments we sit and watch around it
The generations of human bearing kids
We are the conversations and the drama
The hesitations when we

Like ants we walk
But with cars we drive
Like atoms we bond
But with phones we survive
A life with no present
Just to hear people say

Your okay
You are strong
You are kind
You are powerful
It's all in your mind
You're not too old
Or too young

You can make it if you try

It's a nice piece of work and I'm upping my rating on this based on your appealing attitude.
A nice & positive song that's rated too low! Pull yourself up!
This is very nice

Well, I rated it a provisional 5, and bumped it up to a 7. That may be provisional too.

Darn! Sorry it wasn't your cup of tea :( But at least Radio Paradise has plenty that are probably up your alley! Thanks for the feedback.

Huh?

I mean, really. HUH?

It never occurred to me (or to most others) that anyone would post the lyrics for any other reason than to be helpful.

This kind of fault-finding has no place here. At all. If you're tempted, just ask yourself what harm would be done, really, if you just assumed the best about the intentions of everyone here.

Yeah, someone might be attempting some kind of status play with something they post here. They might even "get away with it".  So f**king what?

I'd like to point to some of the tracks on RP that literally have the lyrics posted in the comments, are commented on and therefore reposted, re-commented on and re-reposted, etc etc.  To the point that the lyrics are on the comment panel four or five or more times.  That's not cool or helpful.  So, not smug or self-absorbed or whatever else I was accused of being.  Maybe just suggesting that we could all be a little more patient.  This world is chock full of folks that insist that 20mph over the limit isn't fast enough, that need to experience instant gratification, ride others bumpers like its a carnival game and absolutely treat a moments delay in service as the greatest affront that they have ever experienced.   As a disabled person with mobility issues, I experience more than my fair share of dirty looks and snide comments for being "in the way" or  "too slow".  I'm sure that if someone absolutely needed to know the lyrics to any song, we all know how to run a search on them.  And not ever once in my 14 years of listening to RP have I felt the need to post the lyrics to a track just to fill in  the blank.  When they are missing, I shrug, and maybe listen more intently.  And then just try to exercise some patience...but whatever....as so eloquently stated,  "so f**king what?"...

It's a kindness to listeners who like to have the lyrics up. I wasn't the lyrics poster on this song, but I've done it for others. I delete the post later if I notice that the lyrics are posted in the built-in spot.

I'm not sure why you feel the need to impart motives to people.

Often the only reason that we have lyrics for a song is because one of you kindly provided them. Doing that in the song comments has always been a bit awkward. We're working on an improved way to correct or provide lyrics, release dates, etc.

We definitely appreciate your help! Don't think for a minute that we share the smug, self-absorbed attitude of the poster you responded to.

Usually when the lyrics are posted in the comments, it's because at the time the lyrics pane says "No lyrics available."
