The whole album (youtube link) is enjoyable as background relaxing music, here is the playlist:
00:00 Love Will Tear Us Apart
03:16 Just Can't Get Enough
06:27 In A Manner Of Speaking
10:25 Guns Of Brixton
14:32 This is not a Love Song
18:20 Too Drunk to F --
20:37 Marian
24:30 Making Plans for Nigel
28:04 A Forest
31:44 I Melt with You
35:45 Teenage Kicks
38:00 Psyche
42:12 Friday Night Saturday Morning
Hell yeah -- this is Godlike! Like Astrid Gilberto and Dominique Durand doing karaoke down at Bossa Nova
I had submited this album mpre than 10 years ago. Never got into any mix. Now it is. But "in a manner of speaking", with "ratatouille"s Camille, which is the best track imho, is not. Too bad.

Can't say I appreciate this version. Especially considering what this song is meant to transmit, and the state Ian Curtis was in when he wrote it. The elevator/lounge covers can work (thinking reggae/Pink Floyd/etc) in some instances, but this song isn't one of them.

I see your point - but this could be a version that applies once you've gotten over and "moved on" from the "hurt" part of love. You know, in retrospect? Once you're "all better" now? I dig the tune.
This song was also covered by Paul Young on his debut album in 1984

Joy Division cover?
Fantastic!
Let's dance
Cool. We need more bossa nova covers of 80s new wave tunes. Maybe OMD’s  Enola Gay.

Edit: Or maybe Echo and the Bunnymen’s Killing Moon.
A cocktail bar version of Love Will Tear Us Apart. I love this channel!
I kinda like this as much as the original
A pleasant surprise! RP rulz ...as always!
Well, it's almost  funny, knowing the original, but I like it.
I'm a blessed listener of this station since 15, (maybe 20 years?) ago. And this is the 1st time I happen on to a song with no comment. Which doesn't mean a thing, but still feels weird. [Edit : as I've been writing this, two other comments appeared - which is maybe even cooler ;-) ]
Nouvelle Vague sure are offering a spin on Joy Division's song. I find it still much less disenchanted than the original, due to the gentleness of the arrangments and the voice. Once more: where would I have heard this?
Lots of love to RP
While I may prefer the original, this is an excellent cover and certainly has its place.  Low key ambient, for example.

Easy 6 and it'll probably grow on me
Sure, I can groove along with this version. Nice addition.
