whatever your thoughts on bob\'s born again phase, this is one powerful song, with a killer arrangement on the studio album....which brings to mind the question - why this version? Everything about this one screams \"ordinary\".

Here's a new one: "If its KevinM, it must not have very good tastes in music" :p
I was fortunate to see the Dylan and Dead show in Anaheim. The stadium was still enclosed then (as the carpetbagger Rams were tennants at the time) so the sound was kinda muddled. I never thought the CD did the show justice but the Dead has just released a DVD of their portion of the shows (there and in Oakland) and I now understand my disappointment. How the Dylan and the Dead CD got released in it\'s final form escapes me. Two great forces of music, one mediocre album.
What a great combination. I can\'t think of a much better collaboration than Mr. Dylan with my beloved Dead.
This series of tracks makes me feel I\'ve been called to morning prayers. Please make it stop.

Sounds great with the Dead. Though Brent Mydland\'s vocals have never inspired me much.
