Sounds like Natalie Merchant on a bad day. At best it's some kind of tentative thing called "singing" from someone's sister/lead-singer who-can't-really-sing-except-from-middle-C-to-G if there's no humidity.

A wonderful group of artists, this track is unusually upbeat for them? Still love the generous restraint they put into everything. Achingly cool.

Been hearing way too much of the Cowboy Junkies lately. I don't think they deserve as much play as RP gives them. Great band, they have some good albums, but why are they played so much when so many other deserving artists aren't on the playlist?

Yes, Margo is scorchingly hot, but almost all of the songs are not: they are coma-inducing. The Boring Flunkies, as I call them, need a wider range, but after two decades in the biz, it ain't gonna happen.

This is one of those songs that you suddenly pay attention to, and then, after that, it's STILL priceless, every time. It builds oh so nicely, and hits some kinda high for so long I can't believe it and then it twists and grabs me in another way and Oh God I just love it...

Anniversary Song was their encore when I saw them live about a year ago. This album is so good it's stupid.

I love the Junkies, one of my favourite bands by far. I own absolutely everything they ever released, but this song was always my least favourite from one of their best albums.

Radio Paradise has successfully brought me back to an appreciation of the Junkies, who I lost track of after their second release. I had no idea these guys had such a catalog. I've found them all on eBay and now I'm current! Never get tired of Margo's voice. Just consistently listenable music from these guys, not one badly done song in the whole catalog.

I'm glad you pay attention to their lyrics; they're quite intelligent. There are references to Garcia-Marquez and Faulkner among others just on this album alone. I love Trinity Sessions, but this album might be even better. Can't swear to it, but it just might be.

There was a period where they were my favorite band, hands down. I still enjoy them, but my affinity has waned. Additionally, this was never one of my favorite songs by them. I'll stick with Black-Eyed Man overall and, from this album, Ring on the Sill.

I'm partial to "Miles From Home" for an upbeat tune. But I have to say, after buying three of their discs, I kind of lost interest. Not the type of music that gets better with successive listens, IMHO.

I truly wish that people wouldn't keep posting negative comments on musicians they don't like. I wish the same about comparisons with other artists unless they are constructive or helpful in some way. These things just bring the Comments section down to a silly level of personal opinion. Personally, I trust RP to play music that I like and only occasionally do I press the fast-forward button (but never tell anyone about it, or why).
