One of those 2nd gen Hemi's is being screwed together for my Daytona clone at the moment.
Except mine will have almost twice the horsepower as those '69-'70 race versions.

Yup I did, but only had that car for 6 months. Then I got my 74 Charger and that got a lot more.
Man I loved that car and I still miss it. A lot of great memories.

Those were trucks.
The most uncomfortable ride in a vehicle was on a trip to go deep sea fishing from my house to San Diego.
My dad's friend had a International Travel All.
An awful seat with a stiff ride... no bueno!
There was a guy in my neighborhood back in the '70s who had a yellow Scout similar to that one. Very boxy, even more than a Jeep - it was cool though.

vaccum windshield wipers. These and VWs scarred me so much that I still have trouble using the wipers for just a light mist - "What If I use up the last few cycles on something like this and we really need them later?". It makes Mrs. Islander bonkers.

I "learned" to drive a stick in that car. My mother would let the 6 or 7 year old me shift. It was a long way from first to second... probably 18 inches?
My brother inherited it and proceeded to destroy it...but not until after several summers when he'd take the top off and drive it around the Jersey shore.
