They are actively pushing school choice (you can go to any school in the state). Net result that I'm seeing is everyone's property taxes are going up while the wealthy people who already send their kids to private school were the first in line to get money from the state. You could keep them back a year...which will only ensure they drop out at higher rates.

Drop-outs are 4 times more likely to have negative outcomes than everyone else (arrests, drug use, government dependency, poor health....)

Either the school board members get replaced soon....or the policy in Lawrence county is going to get itself canceled.

At a job.... you get fired.  If you don't want to go to school, Lawrence County is going to reward you for not showing up.
