ich verrückt bin
ich weiß warum
und es ist mir egal
ich weiß warum
ich nicht denken kann
wenn du da bist
kann ich nicht denken
und ich mach weiter
wenn du was sagst
kann ich nicht zuhören
wenn du was sagst
muß ich dich nur ansehen
wenn du was sagst
fliegen deine worte
wie blumen durch den raum
und ich versteh nichts
I can't see warming up to this too much. It's a bit interesting in German. If it were sung in English, I'd be looking for the PSD button.
PSD Button no longer exist's, it's PFO Button: Press Further On!
;o)
Is it just me or does this guy look like Rep. George Santos?
großartig... Ich habe aber gleich danach auch noch "kruder & Dorfmeister" angeschmissen. If you like to groove you need german electro heroes @bill
"Kruder & Dorfmeister" sind aus Österreich. Meines Wissens nach immer noch ein souveräner Staat und nicht ein Teil der Bundesrepublik Deutschland. Wenn, dann sind es "Austrian heroes".
OK, it is growing on me. I like it!

(Kraftwerk , The Can etc)
Another listener from Germany...
I,ve been listening to RP since about a year. My favorite radio station!
During my days work I just love that good mix of music. Today was the first time I heard a german song! What a surprise!
Lots of greetings to you all from north Germany,
Andrea

Ah Gemaani, how about Die Toten Hosen!?
Die Toten Hosen sind ätzend
Interesting! IDK? I gotta give it a few more listens, to decide.
OK, it is growing on me. I like it!
And from the Noth-West, too!)
PS: There is actually produced much more good (better) music in Germany an Austria,
the hundreds, garish, annemaykanterei, Peter Fox, moopmama...

Milli Vanilli!
Ouch. In the west of what - you mean Bratislava?
BTW, Inga Humpe is from Hagen. Deep in the west, even if looked at from Bavaria.
Ouch. The blind man speaking of colors?
My comment didn‘t refer to „east“ or „west“ as geographical terms, but to former political systems: Eastern Germany or GDR was part of the Eastern Bloc, there was a deadly border with Western Germany or FRG; two different nations as enemies. Despite the reunification 30 years ago you will find remaining cultural and linguistic differences until now; the phrase „2Raumwohnung“ for instance shows the social affiliation to the „east“, people socialised in the „west“ would say „2-Zimmerwohnung“.
And how relate Bratislava and Inga Humpe to all this? Let me call it blessed ignorance.
Greetings from Bavaria, possessing a long border with the former eastern states.

Tief im Westen? Da kommt nur eine Stadt in Frage: "BOCHUM"!
I am crazy
I know why
And I dont't care
I know why
I cannot think
When you are around
I cannot think
And I carry on
When you say something
I can't listen
When you say something
I can only look at you
When you say something
Your words are flying
Like flowers through the room
And I don't understand anything
Thanks...I was wondering...
Greetings from Bavaria (deep in the West)

Almost 150 years after the German unification and you can easily differentiate between Bavarian Speakers and the rest. Where to begin ...
I heard it in a rubbish film years ago and this was the only good thing I took from the film.

If you want to get more rp-style German music, try Stoppok (from the west), Die Sterne (from the north), Kraftklub (from the east, they have their own tongue in cheek anti-Berlinocentrism anthem "Ich will nicht nach Berlin") or even Helge and the Firef*ckers (he's...one of a kind and from the west).
cheers
from germany
By the way,... there are also some nice austrian bands! "Mother´s Cake" for example!
It's so über-cool to hear German pop on here (never heard of them, gonna check them out!)
Long live RP !!!

I have to disagree, since "sympathisch" is more likely to be used for people, so a quite likeable person would be "ganz sympathisch". In this case "nicht schlecht" could work as a translation (as in "not bad"), alternatively "ziemlich gut"
That would be something like “ganz sympathisch”.

Hey guys,
I am listening to radio paradise for three month now, and I must commit:
I am totally addicted! =)
Thanx for playing a german song, we were waiting for it for month!
Keep on playing your great mix of all genres! I love it!
Hugs from Germany!
Mike
marvelous... love this...
oh and yea, great group, great song!
This song be berry berry groovy... we be dancing... love it...
but i like this one!
That would be something like “ganz sympathisch”.
Ha! Too funny, I thought the exact same thing.
Dammit Bill! Play some Grandmaster Flash!
Das ist quite likeable, gel?
Very kool song. who cares if it's in German? the beat is awesome. but it reminds me of a song by Laid Back called "White Horse". oh, and the album is available on iTunes, which surprised me.
Yep, definitely inspired by Laid Back's White Horse. Nice for DJ's to mix both songs...
First time I hear this song and I think I really like the song, allthough I don't know if I would purchase the album. Germany sometime really breeds good songs (as Belgium, France, The Netherlands, Italy, Spain and other non-english speaking countries do). I always thought that songs sounded best if sung in English, but I know better...

Very cool baseline...
Yes, yes indeed.
FWIW, was in Germany in that very subway stop in Alexanderplatz.
Indeed she is! Also to the eye, which is astonishing since she must be in her mid-fifties now ('she' is Inga Humpe). She looks like no more than thirty for the past 20 years...
She's 53. Astonishing indeed.

Still waiting for your first sensible comment here.
Since the music always seems to cloy you, why don't you quit and lean your ear to one of those nameless middlewest FM-stations?
ontopic:
fine music from 2raumwohnung. especially this song is adoreable. looking forward to see them live again.
Agreed...not only that, he called someone "smegma breath" yet his hundreds of "10" ratings are almost exclusively male bands...dominated by tired 70's arena rock. Sounds like a severe case of repressed sexual longing for an all-male world to me.
I'm only sayin'.
Anyone who gives all Tori a "1" can't be much of a taste arbiter, anyway.
Again, I'm only sayin'.
Ha Ha .... you nailed it
