The big bright sun has gone away
Done gone away
Goodbye, don't cry
Tomorrow will bring us a brand new day
We can run and play
And they'll laugh up and down the hall
Don't you go shout when you hear them fall
Let them fly across the wall
Let them cry 'til the morning calls
Little angel dance
Big night, bright lights
Time now to lay them all to rest
Put 'em all to rest
Bad guys, mean eyes
All gone away to where they belong
Let's just sing our song
And they'll laugh up and down the hall
Gonna shout when you hear them fall
Let them fly across the wall
Let them cry 'til the morning calls
Little angel dance
Good night, sleep tight
Big bright sun is gone away
Sun's gone away
Goodbye, don't cry
Tomorrow bring us a brand new day
So we can run and play
And they'll laugh up and down the hall
Gonna shout when you hear them fall
Let them fly right across the wall
Let them cry 'til the morning calls
Little angel dance
Come on, come on in
I always love hearing some Robert Plant. Most of his songs always have a sort of dreamy ambience that takes me away.
You're in the right place - LOTS of RP on RP.
Zep underrated? Ah, the inevitability of obsolescence, when even gods slide into anonymity, crowded out by new icons! However, in 2010, Rolling Stone magazine ranked Zep #14 on a list of 100 top bands of all time, calling them "the perfect combination of the most intense elements: passion and mystery and expertise".

Perfect

Wow, sensitive little cupcake, aren't you?
Gawd. What a stupid response. Why not simply write nothing? The animations do disrupt because too many lazy people keep them circulating. There is an absence of thought involved that does drag down the comments.
I may love the song, but hate, hate, hate cutesy animated gifs that get voted to the top. What a distraction. And either I have to scroll down, or hide the window. Argh.

Have you tried this new cool technique called 'not looking'? Just listen to the music man, don't focus on the comment section so much

When many of his contemporaries have all but disappeared from rock relevance, and the rest just record pathetic "smooth listening" music (I'm looking at you Rod & Elton), Robert continues to show us how much great music there is left to discover.
Cool praise for Robert
Lame and unnecessary h8 for Elton. 2 albums this decade and 1 in the last that don't meet your definition (but you probably weren't listening).
Totally different flavor. Both versions good.
h8, h8, h8
Bah.
So you hate democracy?? Go back to Russia!

Even one much is too much I'm afraid.

I love this entire album, and the concert (seen on Axcs TV) is great.
Bill Did it again today "Poquito Para Aqui" -> "Angel Dance".
Would the angel happen to be doing a cumbia ?
Hello is doing something.

And now, Los Lobos as done by Robert Plant.
Pretty cool, Bill What's next?
Actually, it was the Sir Douglas Quintet by Los Lobos. How about Bread by Fugazi?

Led Zepplin as done by the Muppets band?

You can wear a shirt you bought thirty years ago too, but don't be surprised if it's worn, threadbare, and not nearly as comfortable as it once was.
Well then I assume that you want an artist to stay in the original genre and music style of his/her success and time zone? i.e....keep a mullet, still listen to Metallica, Boston, and the "Heat of the Moment" or Steelers Wheel?.....and endlessly listen to Classic Rock stations??
Buddy...your on the wrong channel! Musicians do evolve...for better or for worse. One cannot sing their glory days forever. I'd say R Plant has done quite well in furthering his career for his love of music...not for what you might want to hear.
This is not an evolution, but a metamorphosis. Not a good one either, more like a butterfly to a moth. Robert is one of the absolute best rock singers ever and with that he has branded himself. I don't care so much if he wants to do ballads with Mariah Carey, but they better be pretty darn good and fitting of his image or the brand suffers. And your wrong, they can sing their glory days forever...well until the grandkids take grandpa's microphone and car keys away. Look around, its being done successfully by several. What would you rather see, Plant singing Black Dog with the boys or Angel Dance unplugged? Sorry, for me they cannot co-exist in the same universe. BTW, did you really listen to Steelers Wheel?
Robert Plant has an inherent problem in that
1) a certain percentage think Zeppelin is the worst band ever (they got it opposite).
2) a certain percentage think Robert Plant should only be singing the Immigrant Song (or disappear as he gets old)
This song fits the 7 Score perfectly: Quite Likeable.

I do so love reasoned objections.

No respect for our seniors ? I hope I rock till I drop (dead) and if I had his talent I'd be
laying it out there too.
Hear, hear!

That is exactly what I was just thinking. This is just depressing.

Check out Los Lobos in concert and you'll be fully hooked!

Yes, agree.
The kitty's got people feet!

But I'd like to hear more before I buy the album.

Sounds like the same guitar sound I remember hearing on Raising Sand, but Band of Joy has a different lineup... I wonder if T-Bone produced this one too?
Good ear! That's Buddy Miller on guitar for both recordings.

All Music says Buddy Miller and Robert Plant produced. No other information besides the musician lineup.
ditto

AGREEDDDDD!!! This is actually kind of painful.
