Still got this Album on vinyl from AMIGA Records. East German Record Factory  (GDR). Good condition, brilliant sound. Like to listen to the whole album 2 or 3 times a year. This is one of the best pop albums (particulary by an old blues rock group) ever made. I love it!

Went to rate this a 9.  Saw that I already had.  At least I'm consistent!

And somehow I missed this on classic rock stations back in the day.  My only memories of this are from borrowing my brother's vinyl copy and cranking it up on my little stereo set.  The guitar and bass lines in this are crazy haunting.

It was such a joyful discovery, when I realized that the intro of Radcliffe and Maconie's "The Chain" segment on BBC Radio 6 comes from this song.
Unfortunately, I am no longer able to listen to this song without hearing the voiceover ("the longest listener-generated thematically linked sequence of musically based items on the radio") in my head.

I was a big fan of theirs in mid career, roomie in college 76 had a turntable and 3 albums and was so excited that they were teaming with B&N. a year later they just exploded onto the airwaves.  Some people didn't know the band had a very long history. Peter Green and mid career is still my favorite period tho FM and Rumors were spectacular albums.

Oh an my roomie in Denver hung out at a bar  because he was tall, tho under age, he helped Fleetwood Mac unload their equipment and set up 3 times when they came thru town.  They thanked him by getting him loaded.  But he sure had a smile on his face, tho playing everything straight by that time.  I myself had never had a puff. Straight laced family and all, I just didn't get the stoner humor at the time.

I think I only ever listened to this whole album on an 8-track, with a couple of high school friends on a car-camping trip, just left it on to loop and loop, and it changed tracks during this song... so we'd wind up skipping it altogether. So decades later I finally heard the 1-note solo.

I really enjoy that show. Fun to find out all the technical and personal details about what was going on for albums like "Night at the Opera" and "Who's Next".

I have tried to learn to like Fleetwood Mac, but failed. Some good things going on, but some bad things ruining it. Rated a 4 for Acceptable (no need to shut it off at least). :)

I LOVE listening to this song loud {#Yell}or through headphones{#Music}, because you can hear Lindsey keeping time during some of the quiter places when the instruments stop. You'd never get that nowadays, everythings cleaned up so much and perfect that you lose the little human touches that make them warm. I usually don't pay much attention to base playing through out a song, but John's here kicks you in the teeth and says listen to me bub!{#Bananajam} I love it. Excellent album! Rock on F.M.!!

I just saw Fleetwood Mac in Phoenix this last Sunday. They still rock! Lindsay Buckingham's guitar work has gotten better, if you can believe that. And John McVie' bass line in this song reverberated both the stadium and Soul.

What a catharsis this must have been for them, in the midst of all the emotional turmoil created by 2 breakups among band members. That they used those swirling emotions to create this wonderful album is a testament to the power of art and that, when it is at its zenith, it emanates from a place  deep inside.

I always found the potential interplay between this song and Nicks' and Buckingham's real-life relationship to be most intriguing. There was some good amount of bitterness between the two of them at one point after their falied on-again off-again romance/sexual relationship/whatever, wasn't there?
