Looking around the house
Hidden behind the window and the door
Searching for signs of life but there's nobody home

Well, maybe I'm just too sure
Or maybe I'm just too frightened by the sound of it
Pieces of note fall down, but the letter said 'aha'

It was good, living with you, aha
It was good, ah-wa-aha
It was good, living with you, aha
It was good, aw, good good good good good good

Sitting around the house
Watching the sun trace shadows on the floor
Searching for signs of life, but there's nobody home

Now maybe I'll call, or write you a letter
Now maybe we'll see on the Fourth of July
But I'm not too sure, and I'm not too proud
Well I'm not too sure, and I'm not too proud to say 'aha'

It was good, living with you, aha
It was good, ah-wa-aha
It was good, living with you, aha
It was good, aw
So good

A-aha
It was good, living with you, aha
It was good, ah-wa-aha
It was good, living with you, aha
It was good, ah-ah-ah-ah-wa

Yeah, you were so good.
Yeah, you were so good.
Yeah, that's right...

LOL! Too funny!  ...works for me!   GREATE TUNE!  Thanx RP!

PS: Now you did it! ...every time I listen to this, I hear "WAFFLES"!   It is all your fault!

Better Than Asthma
(When I lived in the NOLA area, what a fun, crazy, former co-worker used to call them. I miss Manny's comments on life.)
RIP, Norm Macdonald.
Lame then, lame now.
I went to LSU while these guys were playing around the campus scene. Friday nights at a bar called Murphy's ... They were the best the town had for sure.
Bad

Does anybody know whom or what does Ezra refer to?
In particular, George Ezra was born in 1993, so he was a little baby that time... ;-)

A quote from Ernest Hemingway
I love the sound of the bass guitar!

I see what you did there
I like this song, always have. Because who can't appreciate an upbeat, kinda, breakup song. So rare, those.
Trabalhando e ouvindo a radio. parabéns otina programação .
Seamless segue from the New Pornographers.  Good one, Bill!
soundtrack to a lot of high school good times

Still I prefer to hear this guy

Bad.
It is Good. Mwaha.
Fortunately, my avoiding commercial radio whenever possible (grocery stores are the worst) has allowed some songs that got overplayed to death to come back from the dead and have new life.

That ended in a different place than it started.  They're good zombies!

Ezra was just the worst!
Pure Pixes bass line and guitar riffing.
1993 !{#Laughing}

This song is ok to hear for nostalgia about once every 10 or 20 years or so.{#Lol}
11 years with no airplay on RP, Bill shakes that old jukebox and always keeps an eye on its contents.
Stands the test of time quite well indeed.

how about 20 years later?

this was my favorite song in the seventh grade .. hehe
!!! ew
Probably not a bad song, but it has definately recieved more playtime on the radio than it deserved......
What isn't "Better than Ezra" ?
I went to the same college as these guys when they were the big local phenom. I thought it had been long enough ago that I was safe from ever hearing them again, but thanks for the painful reminder! no good...
This song is "good" but yeah...not my fave from Deluxe or BTE for that matter. Try In The Blood or Porcelain instead. Or something from Friction Baby, like Normal Town--those rock!! Love the BTE though, it's GOOD to hear on RP!! Thanks~
AAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE...... songs like this are why i don't listen to broadcast radio -- please
WWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW lol. great tune. so easy to play on bass, but so perfect.
BTE was once my favorite band... I agree that "Deluxe" is a great album. "Porcelain" or "Rosealia" would have sounded better than "Good" on RP.
Worse than death.
It's Good. :D
I'm with Vingenzo and Lily, good song, it went away long enough that it sounds fresh again in my mind.
In the aging process there is fine wine, and in this case, there is vinegar.
this song\'s not so great
RRYB Syndrome!
This is one track i could certainly do without here. I didn\'t care for it when it was played to death on FM radio, and now, even Paradise can\'t elevate it.
