Ah, good old Night Moose.
This will always be *the* midwestern song, especially with those last lines. Takes me back every time, even after thirty plus years of living in Los Angeles.
I would rate this 11 if I could..
l like it.
I was a little too tall could've used a few pounds
Tight pants points hardly renowned
She was a black haired beauty with big dark eyes
And points all her own sitting way up high
Way up firm and high
Out past the cornfields where the woods got heavy
Out in the back seat of my '60 Chevy
Workin' on mysteries without any clues
Workin' on our night moves
Tryin' to make some front page drive in news
Workin' on our night moves
In the summertime
M-m-m-m...
In the sweet summertime
(ooh...) We weren't in love oh no far from it
(ooh-ooh-ooh) We weren't searchin' for some pie in the sky summit
(ooh...) We were just young and restless and bored
(ooh-ooh-ooh) Livin' by the sword
(ooh...) And we'd steal away every chance we could
(ooh-ooh-ooh) Backroom to the alley or the trusty woods
(ooh...) I used her she used me but neither one cared
(ooh-ooh-ooh) We were gettin' our share
Workin' on our night moves
Tryin' to lose the (ooh... ooh-ooh) awkward teenage blues
Workin' on our night moves
M-m-m-m...
And it was summertime
M-m-m-m...
Sweet summertime summertime
Oh... wonder
Felt the lightning yeah
Waited on the thunder
Waited on the thunder
I woke last night to the sound of thunder
How far off I sat and wondered
Started hummin' a song from 1962
Ain't it funny how the night moves
When you just don't seem to have as much to lose
Strange how the night moves
With autumn closin' in
M-m-m-m...
Night moves
M-m-m-m ...
(night moves) Night moves
(night moves) Yeah
(night moves) Remember
(night moves) Ah, sure remember the night moves
(night moves) Aint it funny how you remember
(night moves) Funny how you remember
(night moves) I remember I remember I remember I remember (night moves)
Oh... oh whoa
(night moves) And we were workin'
Workin' and practicin'
(night moves)
Workin' and practicin'
(night moves) All of the night moves
Night moves (night moves)
Oh... (night moves) I remember
Yeah-yeah-yeah (night moves) I remember
Ooh... (night moves) I remember
Lord I remember lord I remember (night moves)
Haa... oh... (ooh...)
Ooh... ooh ooh (ooh...) oh... yeah-yeah-yeah
(ooh...) Uh-huh (ooh...) uh-huh

I don't understand why people object to "classic rock" tunes like this included in an eclectic mix.
Isn't that what atracts us to this net station in the first place?- or are you looking for constant "alternative" and "obscure" music?

While this is the "hit" RP you could have played some of his other album cuts that are just as great! I'd rather hear those than the hits.
Ok, so it was one of the first acoustic guitar riffs I ever learned at 15, can remember making out with a girl in the back of a 69 camaro, and it's not a bad tune, but I've heard this on southern classic rock stations more than Zeppelin.
Hey, I AM from the South.
this is one of the best songs. ever. it brings back some sort of serene nostalgia. isnt it funny how you remember...
wow, a lot of Bob Segar songs on RP, but then ones like this, which are great, haven't even been played once...and no Turn The Page
one of the most perfect songs ever recorded
