There's a land that I have heard about
So far across the sea (repeat)
To have you all, my dreamland
Would be like heaven to me (repeat)
We'll get our breakfast from the tree
We'll get our honey from the bees
We'll take a ride on the waterfalls
And all the glories, we'll have them all
And we'll live together on that dreamland
And have so much fun (repeat)
Oh, what a time that will be
Oh yes, we'll wait, wait, wait and see
We'll count the stars up in the sky...
...And surely we'll never die
So far across the sea (repeat)
To have you all, my dreamland
Would be like heaven to me (repeat)
We'll get our breakfast from the tree
We'll get our honey from the bees
We'll take a ride on the waterfalls
And all the glories, we'll have them all
And we'll live together on that dreamland
And have so much fun (repeat)
Oh, what a time that will be
Oh yes, we'll wait, wait, wait and see
We'll count the stars up in the sky...
...And surely we'll never die

Happy 4/20 everybody!
RIP Bunny
This song starts by asking "is that what you wanted, Albert?" - I thought my computer was talking to me!!! How freaky!

Having read several posts from you to different songs, it clarified for me who the real weirdo is here.
AND you keep repeating yourself, because that is all that you post to most songs and artists here.
Why do you not simply look for another radio station, mate? You would do us all a favor, really.
Oh, by the way - Bunny "Wailer" is really named Bunny Livingstone, Sweetheart!
i would like it better if bunny wailer were not such a weirdo.

Go Sly and Robbie!
IIRC, it's the Barrett brothers who provide the riddim section.
Excellent track, BTW, off one of my favourite roots reggae CDs.

This song just made me finally register to post my feedback, lovely tune! I've heard a few versions of this song, but this has to be best i've heard yet, especially the bassline, too smooth.
great station too, i've been listening pretty much daily since early november, really nice mix of music on here. I've picked up more than a few new favourite bands and artists.
Slightly worrying, but since listening to RP i'm even starting to enjoy the country music. Now, where's my banjo...
welcome to the hotel california!
Makes me want to go to Hawaii
This guy's excellently pleasant voice is spoiled by some really cheesy synth sounds.
I'm not opposed to good ole' synthesizers, but this is redonkulous.

I read here on RP that the reason I've been deprived of the reggie gene is that I've never been to Jamaica. No doubt that's true but, even if I can't stand most SKA, I love Desmond Dekker.
so if you know the cause, why haven't you been yet?
Is that a theramin in the background?

Let's do both! "Israelites" would be a good one to add to the mix. There's also a great CD with Desmond Dekker & the Specials getting together to do some ska classics.

That album cover kinda scares me...
Great song. The version by Third World is also wonderful!
Bunny, and a good one too

Another great reggae tune. Third World did a beautiful cover of this too. Very wistful and touching.
wo! their version was so good i thought THEY wrote it! (that must be what the bubble is for.)
I'm hearing "hang down your head Tom Dooley" in this.

And even a popular Hawaiian female vocalist, Robi Kahakalau, covered it! Speaking of her...she'd be great for RP. Her dad was a Hawaiian jazz musician and her mother was German. GREAT voice!

at least they haven't played any Celine Dion or Britney yet. I'll keep listening until the time they start to.
I think it's a station worth listening to, as gems usually come up...worth even enduring the light reggae patches

happy little upbeat rhythm. cute. don't play it anymore. gimme some Desmond Dekker instead.
Bunny Wailer is one of the original masters of the reggae genre who is still going strong. Definitely deservers more airplay.
Blackheart Man is one of the greatest reggae albums ever and Dream Land is an excellent example. Great choice!

Cannot go there with you. This is reggae that gets played at Sears.
Sears is closed for good now, so no worries.
