As I said in the comments for "Pastime Paradise", I don't consider Coolio's song a cover -- the lyrics and verse sequencing are quite different. Coolio derived his song from Stevie Wonder's song or used parts of Stevie Wonder's song, perhaps. Weird Al's song certainly is a parody of Coolio's song.Originally Posted by LAfadeaway:
Nice selection. I'd like for you to play the original as well. I don't mean this in a harsh way, but if you only play the "Wierd Al" parody of a rap song then you are no better than KROQ playing exclusively white rappers.
Easy there.

The music originated in Stevie Wonder's Pasttime Paradise. Bill plays it fairly often - try requesting it.
LAFadeaway, listen a bit longer. Coolio covered Stevie Wonder's "Pastime Paradise", which you *will* hear here. Coolio changed the lyrics, as did Al. :D
Hmm... a parody of a cover. Somehow Weird Al makes unoriginality cool.
I don\'t think I could stomach an entire Weird Al album at one sitting, but he is very good in smaller doses.
HAHAHAHAHAHHA :D
Yay Bill! This is some of the best of Wierd Al.
Whoa, sure wasn\'t expecting to hear Weird Al!
