Daddy's little racer in here brand new car
Top down for the weather and the sons of stars
Summer's soon, surrender
Eyes of blue, and time enough to shine
So come on, come one
You don't know it but you're coming right along
Baby's getting older under April skies
The road is getting warmer every day she drives
Old enough to know better
Time enough to know her left from right
So come on, come on
You don't know it but you're coming right along
Something's scrathing at the glass
All the angels drive too fast
Pull your dress off on the grass
See it falling
Summer's crawling over
Crawling over you
So come on, come on
You don't know it but you're coming right along
Top down for the weather and the sons of stars
Summer's soon, surrender
Eyes of blue, and time enough to shine
So come on, come one
You don't know it but you're coming right along

Got a little Run Lola Run vibe........

It sounds more like a mix of The Alarm (Rain In The Summer Time) and Coldplay (Yellow) to me. Not sure it's much better than U2 but it still sounds nice.
Finally, U2 done right!

I'm feeling the positive energy and vibes!

Sure miss the poetry of Cynaera's well-written posts.
Not gonna read other comments - this is shooting from the hip. I LOVE it. It makes me want to fly, to write the perfect poem, to breathe the autumn air, to do everything I can possibly do in the time I have.
Definitely gonna buy this one. They're inspiring.

I am VERY glad I found you. Long time ago I "did" radio at a College/NPR station (WNTI) and we were rabid freeform. But real humans spun a yarn with their music, not unconnected strings of titles put together by a bot. This is the closest thing I have found to date. Support sent, T-shirt ordered. Rock on!

first listen I like. but I'm 1/3 irish scot lol its in the genes TY RP 1 more time
One band it does not sound like: the Posies. Ironic, since they borrowed the lyrics in the chorus from "Coming Right Along" from Frosting on the Beater.
Let's play some Posies.

Modern take on "Boys of Summer"?
But I can see you
Your brown skin shining in the sun
You got your hair combed back
And your sunglasses on, baby

What a motivational set!!
I could listen to all four of these songs again - even in the same order!
- Rubyhorse - Evergreen
- The Jesus and Mary Chain - Head On
- Led Zeppelin - Bron-y-aur Stomp
- The National - Sorrow
I could listen to all four of these songs again - even in the same order!

Everybody thinks this sounds like a different band. Me, I thought it was the lovechild of Spoon and Dirty Vegas.
Never heard of this band. I really like this.

This IS pretty darn enjoyable. Good background for the daily crossword.
...this is refreshing...
The vocals sounded a little like Gomez to me.
If Pink Floyd did chillout, . . . .
Sounds like these guys have been listening to a lot of Robbie Robertson
Nice prog rock elements.
I'm so liking the hell out of this tune.

Good Lord - this ISN'T U2? I thought I was hearing a "Achtung Baby"-era b-side.
I heard something U2-esque for a second or two at the beginning.....it reminds me a little of Daddy's Gonna Pay for your Crashed Car off of Zooropa.

Love the tune.

Dude, listen to the vocalist growling. Bono doesn't growl. No matter how much he would like to.

Like this. Good choice.
Tasty with a grabbing bassline... worth another look.
new stuff to my ears....I'm liking this very much

That's exactly what I was thinking. "Dark Side..." too. I half expected to hear that guy go, "I was really drunk at the time."
This kind of reachs out and grabs you by the ears.
I always get Rubyhorse and Sparklehorse mixed up, something I can directly attribute to playing too much "My LIttle Pony"!
Good Lord - this ISN'T U2? I thought I was hearing a "Achtung Baby"-era b-side.
really rather cool stuff :D
Why have I never heard of this band?
Thanks, RP!!
Resplendent introduction!
no great shakes!

This reminds me of Jesus Jones when he was good

V Nice. Feels right.
Not sure if this song gets a higher rating because it is a little more up-tempo than the rather dreary slow-tempo drivel that preceeds it. Eclectic means MIX IT UP. Give me a love, roller coaster, baby.
STEREOPHONICS , too.
I can hear some background samples from Floyd's "Wish you were here"...
Well, I think it is a happy song that makes me bounce around in my chair.

yes. yes it is. ;)
I wanna be Sgt. Pepper when I grow up.......
Synth-pop.

Sounds like Zucchero!
Yes, yes, generic and unimaginative pop, with spacey moogy stuff that does not fit in the background. If these guys were landscapers, your yard would be a mishmash. ANd they can\'t sing. Suppress these dormice! This song seems like a ripoff of so many other people\'s. I feel sick.
Wow, we should all just stop listening to anything new and resort to the albums we already own. They are the only things that could possibly be any good. Play all oldies! I only like it if I've heard it before! Give me the local Clearchannel classic rock station any time!
But you're right. This song sucks.

Still hanging at #24 on the "Top New Tracks" playlist.
Why Bill? Why?
Thousands of songs to choose from, yet I get to listen to this one almost daily. Music is timeless, but the new-loaded playlists are not.
The Top New Tracks list is nothing more than the music drug packaged in its most efficient form. Yet another profit driven creation of the industry.
Stop pushing, Bill! (please :( )
snore boring as hell
sparklehorse, rubyhorse, a horse with no name. I get so confused.
If you can see these guys live, do it. Great show. Kink of a Poster Children vibe.
I hope they are not a one hit wonder. Play some more of their stuff, this is great.
First time I\'ve heard this song and this band.
I agree they do sound VERY U2... however this is a catchy little piece... I like it
Liked this song first time I heard it a few weeks ago. Like it more and more each time I hear it played on RP. Gonna have to get the album.
Yet another singer who graduated from the University of Bono.
If you enjoy the sound of Rubyhorse, may I suggest Jesus Jones first two albums. Very similar good power-pop.

Naaaaa! dont know, not the way i see on ireland anyway.
I was thinking of the IRA and the fights going on between catholics and protestants, though that's only Northern Ireland.
U2 for instance refered to all the abuse taking place.
Luckily it seems to become a thing of the past now.
Even when it\'s, like this song, sort of techno poprock, you can still recognize it as Irish.
Adventurous, dramatic, poetic, militant even. Must have something to do with the country\'s landscape and history, I suppose.
Yes. I hear the Jesus Jones..but I was also thinking of later U2...
This song reminds me of Jesus Jones' work in the early '90s. Maybe "International Bright Young Thing".
