Ohwww, we are rocking todayyyy
First Fell on Black Days in the main mix, now this. Brilliant

Actually just saw these guys a few weeks ago. Goss had to do the show sitting down after keeling over backwards at a previous show, but that did not keep him from rocking out completely. Great show, fantastic live band. if you get a chance, go check them out
Rocking!!
Funny, I've been listening to RP since 2010, and never heard Masters Of Reality on here before. Glad that some proper rocking stuff pops up now and then. Great work from you guys, as always.

i like that better, too!

wow, i still can't get over the pic of the lead singer on the left - he looks like a twin to an ex-boyfriend of mine. that guy could really dance and also played a mean bass. miss him.

Indeed!

Ready Steve?

Andy?.............
Good tune!
Nice surprise, Bill. This album ROCKS. In the same spirit but a little bluesier:  https://www.discogs.com/Frank-... Dunno if ever digitized, tho.
Good tune. Not really a fan of the vocalist’s delivery. A little too straight laced
One of the most under-rated bands of the 90s!
There's a bit of Sabbath in this one I reckon
Whoa. For a second that opening drum intro had me expecting "Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie" by Black Flag. So it was Ginger Baker!
Ok, so 'a misprinted label' huh......I'd like to have that ! My original Nems edition (Aus), 1976 is: Master of Reality.  Damn, sorry RP you've lost me for a while, I just gotta play it.
Was certain I'd been introduced to this tune whilst travelling across Canada last year and immediately thought of Punch Drunk Cabaret or Boogie Patrol but, no, neither of them!
Further research into MoR required
I'll go with a 7 out the gate on this modern potion of the GB tribute set....man that guy slam those sticks pretty damn well....RIP again to Ginger and Long Live RP!!

Yes, it was. As just noted by Bill in his tribute set...
Thanks, BillG.  Hadn't heard of these guys, although I'm a student of "Animal's" drumming.

(Points subtracted for unwittingly responding to my older post. Doh!)
i brought their avg rating down a point.

There's nothing wrong with the Golden Earring, but please don't compare it to Masters of Reality.. altough if you take the first letter of every word from that band name you'll get the kind of music that the Golden Earing stil plays...{#Wink}

I'm not a huge Golden Earring fan either; I have Moontan and Cut, but I'm not getting your point.  What are you saying, that just because Baker plays for Masters on two albums that this somehow negates Golden Earring's 40+ year career?

my klipsch looooooooove ginger baker. my neighbors hate my klipsch. too bad for them
Better yet is off their first album (self titled) "Kill the King".probably their best effort. (listened to that and Brownsville Stations'  'Martian Boogie' till our ears bled)
BEST.  ALBUM ART. well... not evar.  BUT STILL AWESOME.

I'm embarrassed to admit that I've never heard this.  I am basking in it's awesomeness.

Just plain ol' Ginger Baker. Solid, rock steady and ready.Nary a drum head feels lonely in his kit.

Oh, hell yeah!  Go Ginger go!
...one more radar lover gone....
I've always liked this album.  I'm surprised you dug it out as I was actually just thinking about it a few weeks ago.  For me the lyrics mean that a woman is more alluring when dressed because the "details" are left to the imagination.  Or, as women hardly seem to wear dresses these days, bring them back!  In other works this going right along with "lady in red."  But there's ants in the kitchen baby, I thought I'd let you know!
LOL! Wins the prize for awesome and acurate commenting! Yay Masters!!!

I second this comment in its entirety except to add that I am stunned to hear this here. Kudos to whomever provided it. Ginger Baker rarely sounded this "enthused."

Silly song but positively smokin' groove.  8
Wow, I had forgotten I used to have this one; as I recall this is one of the better tunes.  The other "song" I remember is Baker going on and on about tea and boiling water.

Man, nothing like a drummer and bass player who know how to work off each other. We're cooking now!

So . . . are you saying that she "got" you when she got her dress on? Is that it?
Great band! They are in they're own league. Also masters of live performance.

Very cool! Haven't heard this in forever. Their debut album is awesome, too!
Rocks but could only manage an 8-evocative of RADAR LOVE
I've had this album in the collection for a long time dig the whole thing! Other than Ginger, who are these guys?

I'm not sure what's more interesting. The fact that I caught Bill/Rebecca in a 'rarin-rocker' moment to add this or the 4 year hiatus this puppy took from 2002-2006. Genuine rockers don't fade away...they just spontaneously combust and then re-ignite themselves. good to see you zip.

Where did this come from?? Great song, love the Bluesy feel, and leslie can play but Ginger, that drum beat is great like a Train bearing down on ya, go man!! Simply and easy to love.
Repetitive, yes, but I love the fast two-step groove. It makes me want to run around and knock over furniture.
Whoot! Turn it up.
Featuring Ginger Baker (of Cream fame) on drums!
Are you ready, Steve?

maybe it just isn't to your taste but not only is it a rarin'ripper but it's funny in a way i do not know how to explain - this was my favorite album for months after it came out and i still listen to it - believe me i know how it is when you don't like a song but if you get a chance try the cd it is far more varried than this song would lead you to believe-- i called it rock haiku and most of my friends agreed (not that rock haiku really means anything except the songs were short and to the point)
Haiku ala rock-n-roll/ album should have been smash hit but fm-rock and college-alt were both playing it - discovered the hated and despised other guy was playing it and dropped it before listeners really had a chance to hear it --if you can find cd \"sunrise on the surfer bus\" buy it not only is it great r-n-r but it has alot of humor in subtle and not so subtle ways

This just jumps out of the speakers. I am glad I had my system up "loud" when this came on! I am typing as I am listening to this for the first time. I first thought it was "Ghost of a Texas Ladies Man" from Concrete Blonde. Then as it went on, thoughts of a the best of the 70's "boogie" bands crossed with some of the harder rocking alt.country came to my mind. I want to hear this again. This is a great set of music. Way to go RP.
This is the kind of stuff I try to get away from by listening to RP.
Repetitive - When do you think she might have got him?
Good song, good band. Another good song of theirs is \"Domino\".
Well, this woke me up. Paradise needs a kick every so often. Perhaps even more often...
Not exactly the most profound lyrics, but i guess its supposed to be a blues-ish hard rock tune
Great hard driving tune! Honestly I'm sort of shocked that Rebecca/Bill added this upload, but I'm glad it's here. Thanks. :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
