I can fly
But I want his wings
I can shine even in the darkness
But I crave the light that he brings
Revel in the songs that he sings
My angel Gabriel
I can love
But I need his heart
I am strong even on my own
But from him I never want to part
He's been there since the very start
My angel Gabriel
My angel Gabriel
Bless the day he came to be
Angel's wings carried him to me
Heavenly
I can fly
But I want his wings
I can shine even in the darkness
But I crave the light that he brings
Revel in the songs that he sings
My angel Gabriel
My angel Gabriel
My angel Gabriel
My angel Gabriel
My angel Gabriel
My angel Gabriel
My angel, my angel, my angel
Gabriel, Gabriel
But I want his wings
I can shine even in the darkness
But I crave the light that he brings
Revel in the songs that he sings
My angel Gabriel
I can love
But I need his heart
I am strong even on my own
But from him I never want to part
He's been there since the very start
My angel Gabriel
My angel Gabriel
Bless the day he came to be
Angel's wings carried him to me
Heavenly
I can fly
But I want his wings
I can shine even in the darkness
But I crave the light that he brings
Revel in the songs that he sings
My angel Gabriel
My angel Gabriel
My angel Gabriel
My angel Gabriel
My angel Gabriel
My angel Gabriel
My angel, my angel, my angel
Gabriel, Gabriel

you'd think she could think of more things to say about her angel than his name and the fact that he is, indeed, her angel.

The correct answer is to turn off caps lock.

Nope.. It's Louise Rhodes, who is one half of 'Lamb'. The other half is Andy Barlow, who does the rest of it.
And I'm with whoever said the lyrics don't go anywhere. I think it's more about the texture and melody, which I really like.

uuuuuuuuhhhh, Beavis, isn't this that 'bjork' chick?
why does everybody automatically insist that any woman who doesn't sound like Karen Carpenter or Nancy Wilson must be Bjork? this doesn't REMOTELY sound like Bjork (or Emiliana Torini, who is the only other person i can imagine might be confused for Bjork)...
it DOES, however, sound a lot like Amy Corea -- does anyone know if this is her singing?

i just love these guys. such a neat feeling to their music. smooth, pretty vocals over these harsh clangy synthetic sounds.....
This song is really gorgeous. I've never heard it as having anything to do with christianity.
tremendous.
I personally love the percussion on this, as well as most other Lamb songs. it tends to be somewhat unsual, inventive. another personal favorite is "What Sound". very cool stuff.

Definetly one of the best tracks on Lamb's What Sound album. If you like this, be sure to check out stuff from Portishead, Morcheeba, Thievery Corporation, and Hooverphonic.

We had a number of files on our music server that became corrupted by an errant cleanup script during a recent server move. Very sorry about that. I think we've tracked down all of the affected files & fixed them - including this one.

Over produced sappy Christian song.

I concur. Seems like a pleasant enough number, but the quality of the MP3 makes this cringe-making . PLEASE review this MP3 and discard if you agree. Bill? Is anyone out there?
