She was a fast machine
She kept her motor clean
She was the best damn woman that I ever seen
She had the sightless eyes
Telling me no lies
And knockin' me out with those American thighs
Taking more than her share
Had me fighting for air
She told me to come, but I was already there
'Cause the walls started shaking
The earth was quaking
My mind was aching
And we were making it
And you
Shook me all night long
Yeah, you
Shook me all night long
Working double time
On the seduction line
She was one of a kind, she's just mine all mine
Wanted no applause
Just another course
Made a meal out of me and come back for more
Had to cool me down
To take another round
Now I'm back in the ring to take another swing
But the walls were shaking
The earth was quaking
My mind was aching
And we were making it
And you
Shook me all night long
Yeah, you
Shook me all night long
And knocked me out
I said, you
Shook me all night long
You had me shaking and you
Shook me all night long
Yeah, you shook me
When you took me
Ah, you
Shook me all night long
You really took me and you
Shook me all night long
Yeah yeah, you
Shook me all night long
You really got me and you
Shook me all night long
Yeah, you shook me
Yeah, you shook me all night long

I just had to look and see what this was rated. I would have been just amazed if it had anything higher than a 5. This has got to be the worst song I've heard on RP.

some are just fun to listen to
Hillbillie is NEVER fun to listen to -- a ONE (pity there's no ZERO)
This is what makes RP so much fun! You never know what you're gonna get!
This is exactly why I tune in to RP. The fact this is so quirky makes a part of me like it.
Don't ever bow down and stop what you're doing RP. This is what you're all about.

What's next? Bring back Weird Al Yankovic to the rotation?
Gotta hear Wierd Al's 'Devil went down to Jamaica'

That'll teach you to go to Wal-Mart!
I liked this - it showed considerable imagination and humor, things rarely seen anymore in the music "business". Not every song has to lift you to new heights of awareness and uplift your soul - some are just fun to listen to. Those of you who were offended (by a song?) - lighten up!
RP could have other songs of this album and play them too. Thanks for listening only and only this.
This song moved me. It moved me to finally register after a year of listening so that I could give this song a 1, which still felt a bit generous.
Bill, we know you're drawn to unusual covers, but this one is a little _too_ unusual. It was interesting once for about 10 seconds. Please, never again.

i find this funny, because ACDC is so way over the top to begin with, and that people really need to believe that they just rock SO hard that nobody better fuck with them, and therefore this song deserves a 1!
definite 8, and not for song quality.
EDIT: ok, maybe the song's just terrible...
NOt me. I'm not an AD/DC fan. But this song is horrible. If it's meant to be a parody, then it may be funny. But that doesn't make it good music. Maybe it's funny because it is so bad?

I'd prefer Al to this though.

This must be a good song because I'm so happy when it's over.
Interesting logic.
Ha... if I'd heard this any other time, it would have probably pissed me off, but I just had the most absurd conversation on the phone and hung up the call to all of a sudden actually realize what was playing... it made me chuckle a little, and then the solo kicked in and it was all over, I couldn't hold back and found myself laughing out loud, to the confusion of my co-workers who seemed to have never heard the original version.

What do we think AC/DC thinks about this nonsense?
My guess is that they're laughing their asses off.
Why is everyone acting like some genuine classic, some pop-culture scared cow has been slaughtered? THAT is funnier than this cover.
normand64 wrote:
It s_ucks big time. Ouach i gave it a 1
No sence of humer. Its a great toung and cheek way to relive a classic song.
This must be a good song because I'm so happy when it's over.
I'm glad someone has a sense of humor; not even sure if I like this one. It sure has received a LOT of comments, huh? I think I have to go now, though....
What do we think AC/DC thinks about this nonsense?
Good song - about once a year. From the looks of the listener comments, that appears to be about the frequency.
What I'd really like to hear would be "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" done in the style of AC/DC...

Totally unnecessary.
I disagree. To see that light is good, sometimes we need to see the dark.
Well someone at RadioParadise has a sense of humor. LOL
Now we MUST hear Leftover Salmon's version of Snoop Dogg's Gin-N-Juice!!
Love it!
Thanks to whomever uploaded Hayseed Dixie. These guys can play, and this is a great tongue in cheek tribute album.
It s_ucks big time. Ouach i gave it a 1
This is what you hear at WalMart at 11:00 pm....
Scary...
As far as I'm concerned this is much better than the original. At least the singer isn't screeching.
Strange - but not in the good way...
funny funny stuff. the whole album is pretty good.
BUT - follow it up with the real thing please!
The best version of this song that I've ever heard.
Last song: Kathleen Edwards - Money Talks (Live)
Now this.
Going for a hat trick Bill? Can't wait to hear what is next...

Amusing... but unfortunately terrible.
Other than the comedic element to this (which lasts until the first chorus), please don't play this one again. Well maybe once for Angus Young's birthday.
Oh, puh-leease. As if AC/DC isn't lame enough, now we have the "Hee Haw" version.
Hillbilly headbanger music . . . you gotta love this!
No more country music, please!

Exactly. MAKE IT STOP!
excellent work! this is STELLAR!
This is one of the more disturbing things I've heard anywhere, let alone on RP.
I think I need to go wash...
It works. In a wierd, alternate-universe kind of way.
what ... in ... the ... world
this is scary.
HAHAHAHA! Hilarious. you get an 8 for making me laugh!
Amusing... but unfortunately terrible.
Nice segue from Kathleen Edwards.
But it\'s all so clear--he\'s obviously a metaphor for a sheaf of wheat that is shaken to dislodge the grains, which gave folks headaches during the day so now they\'re shakin\' it all night long! Ah, the symbols run on so many levels.... :D
I need a zero rating. This is so bad its not even funny.

At least I can understand the words in this version.
LOL
this is awesome.
Hilarious after AC/DC Highway to Hell - on it\'s own? That\'s questionable.

Holy BLECH Batman!. That was awful!
Wrong...on so many levels. Never thought of head-banging simply to hurt myself. Until now.
I like AC/DC, but not enough to really say I am a fan.
This, however, is funny as hell.
Makes me think of other unlikely covers, such as Blues Traveler doing \"devil went down to georgia\" (you gotta hear John Popper do the screaming fiddle on his harmonica, or their cover of Snoop Dog\'s \"gin and juice\".
Not only is it a ACDC song, but its country-fied. It simply can\'t get any worse than this.
Thirty seconds would have been enough. :(
Aside from the fact that Hayseed Dixie\'s take on ACDC is hilarious (at least it is to me), these guys are pretty astute bluegrass players. The entire CD kicks butt, but you\'d better have your tongue planted firmly in cheek. (I\'m guessing that someong who\'s unfamiliar with ACDC would think it\'s pretty good, albeit a bit hokey, bluegrass music.)
LOVE IT!!!
I think this is the only song that I\'ve heard here that actually make me do this:
oh no way. It has only just started and I like it already. This just sounds so original it\'s great.
Funny, I thought I was making a valid point. Sorry to upset you my princess

Progressive Rock; Porcupine Tree, Dream Theater, and the ilk. (although I don't ever recall hearing any DT on this station)

Seriously, I think it'd be great if you uploaded some originals and then requested them. I do like straight ahead rock; I don't think it's accurate to characterize most of what's played here as "prog rock."

I wouldn't mind mixing it up - While the choice to play this remake is eclectic the music itself is way weak. I would rather here the original. It would be fun to hear AC/DC in the context of this radio station - fun being the optimum word, a little levity is good in between some of the heavier brow stuff ...What the hell\'s \"prog rock\"? Is that like \"Prauge Rock\"?
This is sooo cool
I just love the old AC/DC (Bon Scott era). The newer stuff doesn't do it for me, but this HaySeedDiXie (excellent name) cover is superb.
Can\'t stand the original. Can\'t stand country music (for the most part). = Can\'t stand this.
Criminy, some people need to relax, it\'s a joke fer Pete\'s sake. And a well done one at that

Not eclectic, not intelligent, and it\'s not rock.
Not orginal, not interesting, at least it\'s not rap.

Joe Bob says: fun stuff.
BTW, AC/DC once hired these guys to play a party they were having, and loved \'em.
