Well now, you may think I'm fooling
For the foolish things I do
You may wonder how come I love you
When you get on my nerves like you do
Well, baby, you know you bug me
There ain't no secret 'bout that
Well, come on over here and hug me
Baby, I'll spill the facts
Well, honey, it ain't your money
'Cause, baby, I got plenty of that
I love you for your Pink Cadillac
Crushed velvet seats
Riding in the back
Oozing down the street
Waving to the girls
Feeling out of sight
Spending all my money on a Saturday night
Honey, I just wonder what you do there in the back of your pink Cadillac
Pink Cadillac

Well now, way back in the Bible
Temptation's always come along
There's always somebody tempting somebody into
Doing something they know is wrong
Well, they tempt you, man, with silver
And they tempt you, sir, with gold
And they tempt you with the pleasure
That the flesh does surely hold
They say Eve tempted Adam with an apple
But, man, I ain't going for that
I know it was her Pink Cadillac
Crushed velvet seats
Riding in the back
Oozing down the street
Waving to the girls
Feeling out of sight
Spending all my money on a Saturday night
Honey, I just wonder what it feels like in the back of your pink Cadillac
Pink Cadillac

Now some folks say it's too big
And uses too much gas
Some folks say it's too old
And that it goes too fast
But my love is bigger than a Honda
Yeah, it's bigger than a Subaru
Hey, man, there's only one thing
And one car that will do
Anyway, we don't have to drive it
Honey, we can park it out in back
And have a party in your Pink Cadillac
Crushed velvet seats
Riding in the back
Oozing down the street
Waving to the girls
Feeling out of sight
Spending all my money on a Saturday night
Honey, I just wonder what what you do there in the back of your Pink Cadillac

Bruce Springsteen is one of the worst music "artists" I have ever heard! He has the worst voice I have ever heard and sounds like he's to a music backing! He's one of the few music "artists" I have to turn off right away I can't take his voice! His voice makes Bob Dylan's voice sound beautiful!
Bottom of the barrel Bruce. Play "Cadillac Ranch" in its place.

I'd be careful about eating while this song is playing.

wow, is this the monotony set?
This is the worst song ever. I think it's my first 1 rating. Congrats, Bruce.
Cruise with me Bruce!
I can remember really liking this song in 1984 - 85. It was so much better, or at least, not as over-played as the rest of _Born In The USA_. 19.5 years later I can barely stand it. And it's not because I don't like the Boss - I still throughly enjoy Nebraska. Maybe "Stand on it" would be better mid-eighties B-side. I could lend Bill my 7" single.

Hey! I get to vote with the crowd on this one. It gets a zippo!

Sometimes that release date on the Amazon.com is a little tricky, as 1990 was a re-release date, and this album really came out somewhere around 1980. No one likes this song? I'm gonna have to give it an 8, then. It's an upbeat, fun Bruce song, what's to hate?
Hey, veegez! Actually, the phenomenal album The River, which did in fact come out in 1980, did not contain this song (NOTE FOR BILL). Bruce did the tune as the B-Side to 'Born in the USA' in 1984 and released it on a 12" Single Collection CD a year later. However, the "1990" I was referring to (turns out it was late 1988) was Natalie Cole's version, which I loathe. Sorry for the confusion. And I still can't stand this song. :P

So you don't like serious music?
I do like serious music. I just don't like "serious" music -- music made by musicians who take themselves very, very seriously and want you to know it. As an example of the latter, consider Bruce's "Secret Garden" song that gets alot of radio airplay these days. Ick.

Heh. You said "blow."

Not sure I can hate this song anymore than I already do...

He's done many, many better songs than this weak rock 'n' roll-kinda song. Come on, this should be 'PROBABLY NOT' from the start.
Blech.
Ohhh dear god this is baaaad

I'm glad the Boss is back, but this tune is not one of his best. How about some great old Bruce; something off "Greetings From Asbury Park New Jersey"?
1990 isn't exactly "back" if you're referring to this song. ;-) However, if Bruce wants to make music like this, he can stay "away." Didn't like this in 1990, don't like it now.

Ugh... please make it stop. Can this guy only sing six different pitches? The monotony is killing me.

i totally agree, i understand the genre and style he's attempting to invoke and he's falling miserably short (and I'm a diehard springsteen fan) this is a bside throwaway filler, he's capable of SO much better!!!!
Oh God. This guy is so bad.
I think the reason it doesn\'t sound like \"typical\" Bruse is because he\'s doing a Hank Mizell tribute. Lighten up, it\'s supposed to be fun...
This first song on RP that I had to turn off, because ot is SO annoying. That reapeating top note that continues throughout the song. Arrghhhh.

So you don't like serious music? That's weird, specially for listening on a radiostation like this one. I like everything the boss has written, but this is one of the least good asking me...

I just don\'t get Bruce.... his music does nothing for me
Pink Cadillac was the B-side from \"Born in the USA\", not The River. It would have been a great track on most albums, but its lyrical humor wasn\'t a good fit with the darker themes of Born in the USA. But it\'s a helluva good song. Not as good as \"Open All Night\" but still... good.
Blech! Bruce was right to hand this one over to Natalie Cole and delegate his own version to B-side obscurity. I will pretend I never heard this and repeat play Glory Days as necessary.
