I didn't go to college out west but in the 90's nonetheless. I have been through the same ups and downs, but I just saw them on their most recent tour and they were sweet once again. New lineup (again) and new album out right now and from what I hear, I really like it.
well here we are almost a year later to the date. once again, more lineup changes have afflicted the samples with the departure of tom askin. he brought much to the table. they're coming to my home town in a few weeks, i'll trudge downtown to see them for about the 20th time.
The lead singer here has an outstandingly mediocre voice. Rex Harrison talks his way through a song better than this guy.
An Exceptional Group not talked about enough.
remember when the samples broke up because the lead singer wanted to pursue a solo career . . . he he he
Agreed, move on!

This sounds ok, but how about some old samples... like my favorite "everytime" ??!!

Went to college in the '90's out west, with The Samples pretty much as my soundtrack. I've seen them 20+ times. Their first five albums were outstanding... then, with "Outpost", came the onset of horrible, cheesy music and equally horrible live shows. It's been a constant flow of cheese over the last few years--album after album--and it's really sad to hear it.
But I am grateful that RP has given Sean and the boys a shot... how about some old Samples? Thanks!
