Seen a man standin' over a dead pig lyin' by the highway in a ditch
He's lookin' down kinda puzzled pokin' that pig with a stick
Not a car in sight, he's just standin' there alone out on highway 95
Like if he stood there long enough that pig'd get up and run
Struck me kinda funny seem kinda funny sir to me
Until the traffic stopped and I rear-ended the pickup in front of me
They didn't have any damage and offered me a ride to Florida
I told them the next exit will do to get a tow truck
Cop showed up and gave me a ride back to the car to wait
Couldn't give me a ticket for leaving the accident because I left with the other half.
Still at the end of every hard earned day people find some reason to believe

I think I'm partial to the Aimee Mann Jim White version of this song
Loves me some Springsteen, but all I hear is a rip-off of Joe South's Games People Play.
