I found your house and I saw your car
But I've no idea where you are
From the dial-a-view
Tire scraps on the federal roads
Look like crash landed crows
From the dial-a-view
Hello welcome to dial-a-view
To locate the area in which you wish to observe
You must program in the longitude and the latitude
For a closer more detailed picture
Use either the zoom or micro-zoom controls
Good luck
I dream at night
Of going home someday
Somewhere so far away
So dream alright
I know it's going to take some time
I'm going home someday
Fifteen years is almost done
And I don't recognize anyone
From the dial-a-view
My home my friends and you
I watch them fade but what can I do?
From the dial-a-view
Hello welcome to dial-a-view

Cool song. Whenever I hear this song, I get a strong Eels vibe. In fact, other songs on this album give me strong Built to Spill and Radiohead vibes. . .yet all the songs work well together and sound ultimately like Grandaddy. Very good stuff.
Awful.

"Hello, welcome to the Dial-a-View." To read the lyrics without hearing the music, it comes off like a quirky novelty hit. But no... the music is really good and transcends any kitsch. Nice! Me likey!
Cool song, I need to check this band out.

Funny if I google for Grandaddy and Effenaar I get lists of other bands I really like but now are gone like 16 Horsepower

Best live performance I've ever seen was by Grandaddy at De Effenaar, Eindhoven, Netherlands. Goosebumps all over.

This is a great album from a very under-rated band. Thoughtful and easy to listen too...

Jason Lytle is the genius behind Grandaddy; check out his solo albums. Quiet pleasant.
Wow, this is really cool...reminds me of things I know I've heard and liked but can't put my finger on, and that's a good thing... Thanks!
Now
Today.
Great song. When will this be played?
It's got a "Major Tom" spice in it.
