Wrote you this
I hope you got it safe
It's been so long
I don't know what to say
I've traveled 'round
Through deserts on my horse
But jokes aside
I wanna come back home
You know that night
I said i had to go
You said you'd meet me
On the sunny road
It's time, meet me on the sunny road
it's time, meet me on the sunny road
I never married
Never had those kids
I loved too many
Now heaven's closed its gates.
I know I'm bad
To jump on you like this
Some things don't change
My middle name's still 'Risk'
I know that night
So long long time ago
Will you still meet me
On the sunny road
It's time, meet me on the sunny road
It's time, meet me on the sunny road
Well, this is it
I'm running out of space
Here is my address
And number just in case.
This time as one
We'll find which way to go
Now come and meet me
On the sunny road
I hope you got it safe
It's been so long
I don't know what to say
I've traveled 'round
Through deserts on my horse
But jokes aside
I wanna come back home

THAT'S where I've heard her! I'm really glad they used Torrini instead of Bjork - I suspect Bjork would have lent too much power to what should be a tender, tragic song.
Nice sound — as noted below, whispy little faux singing a'la Bjork, but nice nevertheless. This is the singer that did Gollum's song at the end of Peter Jackson's LOTR: The Two Towers when Bjork wasn't available. She's also Icelandic.

Ugh. Is this from the My Little Pony soundtrack?
I just love her voice in this

Exactly my feelings 'bout this song
There's something about this that I quite like. I wish she'd sing instead of coyly whisper or what ever it is she's doing that's really annoying.

At first I thought, "Norah?" At one point Emiliana really wanted to be Bjork.

And all cute.
Sounds like "Campbell's possibilty" commercial voice
could her voice get more CUTER??
Wow, she's on. The best track from that album. I like.

Condenser microphones are ruining pop music. Because they'll pick up the sound of saliva drying on the lips, they tempt girls to whisper intimately and adorably instead of singing with their guts. Let's not even talk about the whispery intimate males.
...funny how we've come to opposite end of the expressive revolution bing crosby initiated in recorded vocals some eighty years ago...

Interesting.

Hypnotic and lilting. Perfect

Hmmm...kinda dull.
A little punchless.

Shh!
Like it!
A little bit of the whispery vocals is OK, heck, even Bjork does it to an extent

Che bella voce!
Neat guitar, and do I detect a neat accent?
Why are so many female singers afraid to actually sing? A little bit of the whispery vocals is OK, heck, even Bjork does it to an extent, but this is getting out of hand.

That whispery singing style is nothing new - it's certainly older than condenser microphones. Think Billie Holiday, Julie London, or Peggy Lee, among others. Every song does not need to be belted out as if sung by Ethel Merman.
