Great band live - the guys are all great and Sally is clear as a bell - plus, not sure they always do this -  when I saw them, they had some talented young ladies from an orchestra that were just amazing.  The show was at times WAY more rock and roll than I expected.  I would drive several hours to see them again.
Can't get enough of this lady's' voice

I've seen them 3 times live—great! I'd go see them anytime/anywhere. The best was a double-bill with Ollabelle.

I enjoyed them with Over The Rhine once.

Love Hem! This track sounds different from the album. Is it a live version? Anyone know?

Yes this sounds different, and my CD cover also is different.

I'm sure it's been said before on another Hem thread (maybe by me), but Sally Ellyson sounds a lot like Helen Reddy (to me). I like Hem.

I was wondering how they are live. What's your opinion mfassett?
Very good show... if you can imagine you had a few good friends who played guitar and sang like an angel, and you were sitting in their living room listening to them play... kinda like that. Don't go looking for a laser light show of course... :) just great music played very well!
HEM is easy, comfortable listening, i feel like I am at home . . . , she's gotta be sweet and cute!
Great guitar!

This song gives me a wintery, snowy kind of feeling...
I wanna waste some time with a beautiful woman. That's as opposed to a stupid computer. Tired of working.

How about: "A certain red-headed singer... let's call her Tori A. No, no that's too obvious... T. Amos." (Note that I have no particular opinion on the Amos love/hate spectrum, but I find this joke form amusing.)
gonna waste some time, listening to this grating song...
sally's a hot redhead with a lovely and honest voice; not at all annoying like another well known redhead who will remain nameless...but her initials are tori amos.
hehehehehehehe

Why the hell is Hem so damn appealing? The voice? The songwriting? Whatever, I love 'em, have seen 'em three times. Come back out west again please Hem.

Sorry, a little to far into country territory for me.
what, still no word from tom? idle son of a dog! nice one hem!
This has a nice Christmas-y jingle jangle sound to it. Groovy choice for the holidays, Bill. Of course, most any Hem selection is groovy in its own right.
Gonna order this one today.
Saw Hem play in Atlanta this past Wednesday... excellent show. Love it.
First Rilo, followed by Hem, go Bill!

Yet another wonderful artist I wouldn't have heard of if not for RP. Thanks, Bill! Keep it up!
by all means, if you ever have the opportunity of seeing Hem live, TAKE it.
never been dissapointed by a Hem song. talented group they are, and they seem to have a certain mystique as well.
Hi Bill, Keep (H)'em coming !
Hem is so wonderful. I really need to pick up a few albums, pronto.
Very pleasant!
gotta hear it again.. think I like the studio version better, which is a "10"... this is a "9" at this point.
Ahhhhhhhhhh HEM
Nice
