You can swim the sea
You can jump into the fire
But you'll never be free
You can shake me up
Or I can break you down
Whoa-o-o-o-, whoa-o-o-o-
We can make each other happy (4X)
(Repeat entire 3 times more)
You can jump into the fire (4X)
Ohhhh Yeahh! I hope this is the longer freakout version--not the edited single version I have on Nilsson's Greatest Hits.
Unfortunately, it is the short version. RP, please swap it out for the long one!
Such fluid, rocking bass in this! And what wild rhythms, like the way that adrenaline can get the blood pumping! I also LOVE how this was used to such great effect in the movie, "Goodfellas" when Ray Liotta's character suffers his debilitating coke-addiction paranoia! I still trip out on HN's resemblance in the album cover pic to Eric Stoltz' bath-robed dope-dealer character in the film, "Pulp Fiction," too! RP connects ALL!

I so love this song! Since it was released. So happy to hear it on RP!
I Agree! Same here! Thanx RP!

Yes, hearing loss is my reward for years of loud music.

I just went from "stop this, even if it's Nilsson" to "wow, this is actually incredible".
Something about the repeating patterns that somehow becomes gorgeous over time, to me at least.
I know, not much of an argumentation - but I now think it's great that he tried this, and that the result is much better than nothing.

"All I think About Is You" please Bill/Becks

NOW!

Damn right. The longer this goes on the more the pleasure when it finally comes to an end ;-)
I dig Nilsson, but this song bites.

huh?
He was GENIUS!!
Good Lord!! Talk about a blast from the past! I have not heard this song in over 30 years!!! Cool Beans!!

Like, duuhhh - 'scuse me while I drag my knuckles off the floor to give it a solid 1. The instrumentals aren't too bad, but his voice goes through my simian brain like cheesewire. Now, if y'all excuse me, I'm going back to my grooming... C'm here, Ethel, there's bugs in your pelt.
While I completely disagree with you on the song (which is rare), I have to say I'm going to have to steal "goes through my simian brain like cheesewire."

It's Supposed to be repetitive!! It's the trance inducing effect of music repetition that riffs on Eastern music and leads to awareness—that is what so much of the 60s music was about—guess you had to be there to appreciate that, and I understand that. Sorry you weren't there!
Damn right. The longer this goes on the more the pleasure when it finally comes to an end ;-)

Just what I needed.
what a terrific song

That's IT!
I knew I recognized it from somewhere, just couldn't put my ear to it.
Thanks!
It's either Beatle's pal Klaus Voorman or the great Herbie Flowers. Both credited on AMG site for the album.
But I still like the song and loved the movie. Great soundtrack as well...
if you think this goes on and on,
if you think this sounds awful,
I think you are a mo-ron!!

Coloradojohn, the song is amazing in “Goodfellas” BUT, it’s not paranoia if the Feds show actually DO show up in your driveway.
