The paths have been crossed
The crumbs are gone and the way
And the way is lost
Melancholy phantoms eye our skins
Poisoned apples falling with the wind

Hear the sigh of the trees
Those who enter here never leave

And the rangers stream
Out of their cabins
They are the hunters,
We are the rabbits
But maybe we don't want to be found
Maybe we don't want to be found

Further in and on we go
Sightless creatures tugging at our clothes

Cutting through the twilight, sword in hand
Strangers once, united against the land

At the sound of the bells
They're pulling paper lanterns from their shelves

And the rangers stream
Out of their cabins
They are the hunters,
We are the rabbits
And maybe we don't want to be found
Maybe we don't want you tracking us down

The rangers stream
Out of their cabins
Raising their muskets,
Flashing their badges
But maybe we don't want to be found
Maybe we don't want to be found

Let's keep hiding, all quiet-like
They'll keep seeking but they won't find us
Let's keep living our quiet lives
You and I
You and I

And the rangers stream
Out of their cabins
They are the hunters,
We are the rabbits
And maybe we don't want to be found
Maybe we don't want you tracking us down

The rangers stream
Out of their cabins
Raising their muskets,
Flashing their badges
But maybe we don't want to be found
Maybe we don't want to be found

Alison Sudol is an amazing singer! Thanks for playing her music.
Thought this was Sia, had to look.
Saw Fantastic Beasts last weekend.  Dang if the "Queenie" character didn't look like Alison Sudol.  But, DANG, it *was* her.

She oozes talent... one might presume that she would be better at either singing or acting, but that would be too presumptuous in her case.
My dad was a Ranger.  2nd Rangers Battalion, Company E to be specific.  Different kind of ranger, I know.
Romantic .   has a taste of Lana DelRey

Agreed. Not anywhere near close!
I really like her music.   Yes, she is beautiful too.  So what?  That's not her fault.  {#Lol}
This sound very like a Travis song, the name of which escapes me.
several sublimely beautiful tracks from this album this included

I agree. Every now and then she sounds like Pink.
Sometimes her voice sounds like Pink. This is not a good thing and puts me off.

Well except for "Good Gawd it's that California song" ... KE is great but that one song is soooo dire. This is far from dire.

Sometimes this fabulous artist reaches right out and touches me in ways I really like...such superb arrangement, talent, and delivery!{#Daisy}
Great voice, good tune, excellent lyrics. IMHO this song is under-rated.
ho hum..
"The Poet's eye, in a fine frenzy rolling,
Doth glance from heaven to earth, from earth to heaven;
And, as imagination bodies forth
The forms of things unknown, the poet's pen
Turns them to shapes, and gives to airy nothing
A local habitation and a name."

- A Midsummer Night's Dream

What an incredibly beautiful human on many levels.

Where did you find those lyrics? It is very clear to me that she is singing "And the rangers stream out of the cabins/They are the hunters, we are the rabbits..." because those lyrics actually make sense. At any rate, this song is superb :D.

You are correct, sir.  Definitely Keanesque.  I love her voice; raised my rating from 7 to 8 this time.

Not that I object, but I've noticed that the comments for this band are always pictures of Alison.

Cool lyrics in this one.

The paths have been crossed
It comes and goes and is lost
Melancholy phantoms light of skin
Poison apples falling with the wind

Hear the sigh of the trees
Those who enter here never leave

And the rangers scream out to the cabins
They are the hunted
We are the rabbits
Maybe we don't want to be found

Further in the hole we go
Saddest creatures tugging at our clothes
Cutting through the twilight, sword in hand
Strangers once united against the land

At the sound of a bell
The running people from their shells

The rangers scream out to the cabins
They are the hunters and we are the rabbits
Maybe we don't want to be found
Maybe we don't you tracking us down

The rangers scream out to the cabins
Raising their muskets
Flashing their badges
Maybe we don't want to be found

They keep hiding a quiet like
They'll keep sneaking
But they won't find us
They'll keep living a quiet life
You and I

The ranger scream out to the cabins
They are the hunters,
We are the rabbits
Maybe we don't want to be found
Maybe we don't want you tracking us down
The rangers scream out to the cabins
Raising their muskets,
Flashing their badges
Maybe we don't want to be found

I love a fine frenzy on a Friday afternoon... {#Roflol} She did an absolutely amazing performance at the www.kink.fm Live Performance Lounge in Portland, Oregon awhile back... Kink Live Performance Lounge You'll have to scroll through the list of performers, but there's some very good stuff there, so take your time and browse.

She's got the kind of resonant nasal tone (that's not necessarily a dig) that Rihanna does - I know what you mean.
As long as we're posting pictures of Alison Sudol, I like this one:

It's A Fine Frenzy. Can't you read? Better question: Can't you hear that it's not Pink?
Is the ranger-rabbit thing a metaphor for freedom from surveillance? If so, call me bunny :o). 7 from the Nottingham jury.

A Fine Frenzy will perform "Almost Lover" on the CBS Early Show tomorrow, Feb. 23.
You know, listening to RP can also be educational. I've heard this tune a few times; figured I loved it. But reading some of the comments, I can see how this material is not as outstanding as first thought. It's decent, but nothing earth-shattering. You know, our world is loaded with raw, brilliant comedy. Read some of the notes. Bloody funny. It's worth an hour just to skim through the comments of tunes. Jack's comment on her choice of entree - hilarious. I have no life, apparently. I can't even figure out how to use these little icon idiots.
Let's make sweet music!
let's talk about music?
The obsession of many listeners with this woman's physical attributes is now boardering on creepy.
over processed, boring, utterly unremarkable, and trite
she makes trite metaphors sound quite lovely.

I found AFF here at RP, but there's been quite a bit of hype surrounding her debut album, from which this song is taken. There are few good songs on it, but it has very little staying power. In other words, past the first few listens, it's pretty bad.
