Girl I love you but your loving has gone forever
Gonna miss you but my love has gone forever
I say I love you but your loving has gone forever
Gonna miss you but my love has gone forever

Girl I'm back in Spanish Town,
Ain't no trouble coming around
You promise you will never let me down
If you love me that much you will stick around
It's hard to tell that your love exists
But I know this one is for real
Girl I love you, but your loving has gone forever
Forever

I like his voice...sounds helium induced

Exactly my experience. More than this album with 100:th Window. Big dissapointment becoming legendary.

At least in my book. :-)

It kind of grows on you, as many other good tunes do!
EXCELLENT!!  Thanx RP!

So do your comments!
This bass. This BASS is everything in this song. The whole rhythm and groove is insane. I could listen this for hours.

The ending has like 10 variations of snare-bass drum pattern combos.

Was VERY disappointed with this whole new album to begin with, but like all classics it wormed its way in and took a deep hold.
Can't get enough of it now, superb stuff.

The lyrics in this song are unfortunate and sad.  And bc of that I give it a 3, otherwise it would be a lot higher.  I'm still unsure where to rate this song.

Oh please - I beg to differ: his voice is what makes this groove ROCK. . .

Land of the vague, indeed.

I definitely dislike this guy's vocals - or his "technique."  Otherwise the group is really solid and come up with some really good music.

Horace Andy - vocals

Nice production value. Slightly disturbing art / monsters of the id stuff

My thoughts exactly!

That would be a great double to see. I saw Massive Attack earlier this year in Australia (just on their own, the support act bailed) and loved the show. Definitely had that power.

This would probably be more effective if performed with a marching band.
Game 4 of the NLCS last night in SF and they are playing the intro to this song to whip the fans into a frenzy!
So the bass in the beginning reminds me of Dr. Who.  Anybody else get that?

I don't know why, but I am beginning to love this song. 8.
I like the groovy bass{#Bananajam}
MASSIVE!!!
R-E-P-E-T-I-T-I-O-N...i love it...

Of COURSE he does! How else could he know how to push our buttons and get us to argue about the merits of Radiohead?{#Lol}

Who the heck is singing? Sounds really familiar, but I can't figure it out....

Aha... Horace Andy. Thanks.

The horns are the icing. . .

Oh, that bass... Not fond of the disharmonious cacaphony towards the end, but the groove throughout is mesmerizing. And it splits me in half - part of me wants to Zen-out, and the other part wants to tribal-dance through the house.  I hate you, Massive Attack.  I love you, Massive Attack.

Yes I agree on all counts...................

Sounds more like a panic attack than a massive attack...

I must not have paid enough attention to the bass line in this song on past listenings. That, or I didn't have the volume up loud enough. Most excellent.

yes sir - most excellent!

If you have dust on your speakers, you don't listen to enough music. And deffinately not loud enough!

Love the bass!
LOOOOOOOOOOVE THIS! {#Dancingbanana_2}

First time I ever heard Massive Attack was on the television series "La Femme Nikita." The song was "Angel" and something about that throbbing beat and ethereal vocals just reached into my heart and hooked it.  And now, the theme song from "House" is Massive Attack again.  Can't escape... Don't want to...
Don´t mess with Massive Attack, always great!

Now that was a great song!

Reminds me of Filter.
8—>9

This is likely the best stuff since Mezzanine.  Very, very nice...
stunning and sinister
Interesting. I like this track and have always liked a bit of Massive.

However, I saw them in concert a couple of months ago and was less than impressed. With the talent and great musical archive they have, the gig was lackluster in my opinion. I went in really looking forward to hearing them and left feeling cheated of a possible great evening. . . hey ho.

But now I hear this. . . and I am going to have to re-evaluate.
Love the bassline.
This is nice!

MA is back with a vengeance!

fantastic! need better speakers :(
A great synth groove that could have been programmed by Depeche Mode + a crazy Sgt Pepper moment towards the end..great!

Classic band.
Freeeeek I love these guys! They could record fart sounds and I think I'd buy it. The song "Paradice Circus" (sic) from this album is, to me, the best thing they've ever done.
Lush and complex ( hints of Crystal Method ) but ultimately... sort of ugly.    Kind of like the cover.

This reminds me of Simple Minds when they were in their prime (New Gold Dream era)....{#Ask} I like it!

awful and awfully overwrought
wow! girl I love you, I stick my head

I'm thinking likewise.  I'm trying to like it, but I was never a clubber myself.

nice sounds...tri-polar

Love the horns!
...impressive...
Nice grooves...ambient, yet unpredictable...
I like it.
This album is really... really good.  Many years later, they've still got something special.
