As I have received from you RP, and so May it be upon William and Alanna. Grace.
Excellent track!
If this had been released commercially and promoted relentlessly in 1977, following the release of the Fleetwood Mac Rumors album, these musicians would be sitting on a pot of gold.

I can imagine hearing this played as background music on the AMC series "Hell On Wheels".

Great track, which sadly I can't find anywhere.
Sometimes I feel like I need to sit by the speakers, finger on the "Record" button of a cassette player, so I can capture it. Alas like a sunset without a camera it will need to linger in my memory.

Anyone else hearing Kenny Wayne Shepherd's "Blue on Black" in the verses?

That was an excellent segue from Deep Forest's "Cafe Europa."

Looks like these guys aren't around anymore. One album is all that's out there, and their Facebook page hasn't been updated since 2013. What a shame. Beautiful music.

I need the lyrics.
Nice vocals here. Very nice indeed. A little Minnie Ripperton in that voice.
I love the way it starts out like a Marshall Tucker Band-kinda song, then...wow, that gal's voice just flat-out sizzles! The strings kill, too!
Not available in iTunes? Weak.
Had to stop what I was doing to see who/what this was. I see I rated it an 8, so clearly I've heard it before.
Good stuff! I love discovering "new" music on RP!

Not heard of this before..it is very nice music and voice wise, indeed..
Perfect song for the next iteration of Firefly...
At the beginning, I always think this is a cover of Sufjan Stevens's "Jacksonville".

Several other albums have done the same.
Have to be quicker on the "Add to Cart" button

Reminds me a bit of the band 'Strangelove'. Not sure if anybody here knows them. Love them, no matter what allmusic says :)
I like it, sounds like a typical Yoko Kanno song. Not that she would ever hit the mainstream. ;)
Love the harmonies and the occasional high lonesome.
I can imagine hearing this played as background music on the AMC series "Hell On Wheels".

The band took its name from a line in "Acadian Driftwood" by The Band:

"Acadian Driftwood" is about the Acadians, French-speaking settlers who were forced out of Canada after the French & Indian War and moved to Louisiana—where they eventually became known as "Cajuns." "Acadia" as a geographic term refers to the area from eastern Quebec and Maine all the way up to Prince Edward Island.
Appropriately enough, Gypsy Tailwind is from Acadia—Maine, to be exact.
There is nothing gypsy about this group that I can tell. Taraf de Haidouks FTW!

What a treat to know such talent featured on RP actually plugs into feedback! I was just coming on to comment how much I am really digging this song, this group, this sound, every time I hear them, and I think there is something incredible happening in this soaring, emotive music! How wonderful it is for me to say directly: you really make it special, and thank you!

Thanks for the posting. Excellent, beautiful video. Here in North America, we've appropriated the word to infer a happy, highly mobile, not so materialistic lifestyle. - but you knew that. We got "Gypsy", France got "le Weekend" (although they are apparently losing their Roma influence).
