My mind, it is an ocean blue
From these waters, thoughts for me to you
Observer serves a higher point of you
Now we see that you are me and I am you

My thoughts are blooming roses blue
Water through my soil, through my roots
Searching for higher, higher point of you
From these waters to the sky and through the moon

Well, that means those folks find it quite likeable. Nothing wrong with that!
Reminiscent of Loggins & Messina ...

I remember that quote from the late great Cynaera when Stingray seemed to be managing to annoy just about everyone. She is missed.

I just can't imagine how they revive elephants with it, is all. {#Wink}
I had the privilege of recording Bonnie Paine on a Randy Crouch song back in 2007. Such a sweet lady with a voice to match. Love this tune!
Superb talent.  Excellent piece of music all round, as verified by my ears.  8 from me.
elephant behind
Nice groove in this tune.
Quite a lush and sensual tune.

An honorable "10" found in the inner depths of RP.
Absolutely Beautiful..enconpasses so many influences...

Came in during the mandolin solo and thought "Cool!  RP is playing some Grisman!"  That's a pretty high compliment.
I love it while I'm working and it reminds me of good work that I've done.  Therefore, a ten.

Gentle yet thorough.

Excremental comedy aside, I like this music.  It's mellow and nice and not shitty at all.

Love the husky, plaintive vocals

Gorgeous. {#Daisy} And thanks, RP, indeed, for finding us these gems! {#Clap} {#Notworthy}
For the love of God woman, take those marbles out of your mouth and enunciate, enunciate, enunciate!
LOVE RP for leading me to tunes like this!  Thanks Bill

You ever tried to revive an elephant? It's hard work, lemme tell ya.

YES!!  To me too.  Until now I had been thinking it was her — I guess I saw the word "Elephant", and since Rachael has an album titled "Elephants...Teeth Sinking Into Heart", I hadn't bothered to look closer / deeper at the details....  oops, my bad

People know how to use the scroll bar to see your full post, I am pretty sure.   Your little friend Stinky has become kind of a pet obsession for you.  It seems every other board nowadays is filled with either a) "we be dancing" b) a half-page-length pointless photo posted by one regular poster or c) your ongoing feud with Stinkray.   He is a brat, no doubt.  I think he's kind of funny now and then, and not near as bad as you make him out to be.

I count on your vote come November.  {#Heartkiss}

Like the track but can't get to grips with the band name, makes immediately envision a crowd of medics with an oversized defibrillator.

Stingray
You need to see them live, they are truely amazing and  Bonnie Paine's (vocals, washboard, djembe, musical saw) voice is beyond compare, I kinda wish they would feature her more, sounds like Natalie Marchant but such a poweful vibrato and lilt to her voice.

This band will be huge, I saw them recently and photographed them in Utah and was spell bound from the first song. You can see my review and photos of this show on my concert photography site here: https://gonzoshots.com/archives/8719

Guh. Sick to death of you, Stingray.

Good song, thanks for playing. Made me want to hear more from this band.

I found this song so engaging that I did buy the CD. I have to say that I find this song by far the best thing on the CD. The rest is very listenable, and I'm waiting to hear if it grows on me.
One thing really bothered me: the CD came without lyrics for the songs. I have always been of the opinion that any band or artist who ships a CD without lyrics is telling me that the lyrics aren't worth listening to. For me, that means that neither is the artist worth my time. (I've never had the best hearing, and I really appreciate being able to read the lyrics while listening to a song).
My .02.

Good song, thanks for playing. Made me want to hear more from this band.

No one is forcing you to listen to RP homey.
Wow.. seen these guys come through our little Colorado town a few times. An excellent group, and they very humble nice folks.

This song gives me the chills when I hear it. My favorite track on the album.

FYI... That weird instrument you hear at the beginning is actually a musical saw, not a synth...If memory serves, it was a carpenter's hand saw played with a violin bow.  A haunting sound...

Thanks to Bill and Rebecca for picking these guys up!

{#High-five} great band, thanx Bill!

Just bought it. Cool new sound. Maybe not "new", but new enough to me to want to add to my list. Thanks, Bill, for another fresh discovery. Maybe my daughter will crack this station playlist in the next year.

Nice contrast from the horribly grating Decemberists.
