Blown away and waiting on a fair wind
Sweeping through my window
Will you move me like you did once more?
Blown away, I'm blown away
Feeling everything, with you
Blown away, blown away and waiting
Blown away and waiting on...
I'm blown away, yet you're always with me still
You can say what you will now, but it's wrong
Is the love I give just a trinket to you?
Kept with all your playthings, and dreams that were new
Somewhere in a dream life that never comes true
If we can't dream it up again then what do we do?
jfc, a couple hours of this and i want to shove an exhaust pipe through my fucking heart!
hope you found the Rock Mix or My Favorites to hear stuff you like.

By all means then, KEEP listening for AT LEAST a couple hours.
Reminds me of the essence of Heathcliff and Catherine in Wuthering Heights.
What a voice!!!
It does! So love the 1939 William Wyler film with Laurence Olivier and Merle Oberon.

Calm down. It's just music.
Overtly happy music possibly inspires more suicidal thoughts than sad music does; sad music can help one realize that they're not alone in their sorrow while happy music can exacerbate their feelings of alienation. It depends who you ask, I guess...
Happy songs make you feel like shit. Don't believe me? Listen to Katrina and the Waves, "Walking on Sunshine" and examine how you feel at the song's conclusion.

Literally; Probably not. Figuratively; Quite likely.
Unfortunately, the definition of literally now includes figuratively. SMH. Appreciate the attention to grammar, nonetheless.
Now where the feck is Nordland? - the Lizard King wants to know...
My, not google-fu, but duckduckgo-fu, says Nordland is a county in northern Norway.
I am blown away by this song. literally

such a good lyric
Great reply, Proc! And I agree 100%. In fact, living in the Seattle area most of my life, I remember hearing stats about our high suicide rate, which I then found out didn't peak in our grey, wet, cool fall (fall lasts from Sept thru April usually) but peaks when the sun comes out for a few months in May thru August. And the reasoning is like you mention....when we're all sad and depressed by the grey weather there's a sort of solidarity amongst us PNW'ers. It's when it's SUPER nice out and one STILL feels low and sad while everyone else is enjoying the sun that the most depressed of us say goodbye. (and this happened to my step-brother....he took his life in late May of '97.
To balance all THAT sadness out with other stats....I've always heard how we in the PNW buy more sunglasses per capita than the rest of the USA. The reasoning is that we only need them a few months of the year, lose them and oh shit here's the sun again and have to buy more. Long Live RP!!
I've often wondered if the lurking impossible ideal of the American dream is a factor in American malaise. Regardless, I select specific songs for their mood (upper or downer) in order to get me through a series of emotions which, left unexpressed, might never fully resolve....

Interesting.
doth...
Indeed!
I wouldn't listen to the old album but this song has potential. With your advice I won't go listen to more of him. :-) ...well...it's too long, shorter would of been good.

Sounds very much like he shares your opinion.

Kindly have the earwax removed.
Just not a Sivert fan...I really tried on this one...sorry!
Accordions! It could be MUCH worse with ACCORDIONS! I liked it today though when the RP playback went wonky and it switched intermittently between Soosgfart Hooymdrogem here and Pink Floyd "The Wall" finally settling on PF. Made me smile! The Floyd was there for me when I needed them, as always. It makes me wonder "How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?"
Which "song" components are missing exactly? It's got a melody, a chorus, and instrumentation, among other components. There are many works which could be called "meanders" or "doodles", depending on who's listening - or not listening.
Bill, feverishly hoping that Newt hates Sivert Høyem's as much he does. Ack! Thptpfth!
It's nice to see Bloom County fans on here, even if I don't agree with their sentiments on this song or singer.
A 2? You're being generous. Bet I can hit that PSD before you can . . .

(it could be just deep "wrap-me-in-a-blanky-and-set-by-a-fireplace-and-i'll-die-happy" voices though)

One might call that an epiphany. Congrats.

I am blown away. Sivert has made me re-calibrate my thinking about how I rate songs. And, maybe a bit more...
I knew you would! RIP Ann
(I love his voice)
..sometimes those spotlight the best of things..put it at 8 on 1st listen, myself..
I think I understand how you feel, but this just melts me completely. So beautiful.
Better block out Chris Isaak too.
Its just not a song I wish to hear very often.
So rather than a 2 or 3, no rating.
" Hans, *booby* I'm your white knight."
i missed it! what did he say!!! just now tuned in!
He liked my song comment on this one. Sitting here in my cubicle & hearing that, can't get the stupid smile of my face :) I'd tell someone here about it but they would't get it. And good morning to you!

If indeed each of these camps is partially correct might it be possible to reduce his exposure by 1/3? I think that would be a fair and equitable solution.
Slow torture
But with Jodi I turn it of immediately: her 'interesting verbal concoctions' are very irritating indeed!
(See, if I had my way, Joanie Mitchell would be banned. And that Canadian guy with the breathy, disgusting voice whose name I have blocked because he irritates me so much. But nobody listens to my opinion, either.)
You may well conclude that my distaste is a consequence of "passive listening". Not so, I'm afraid. I could likely sing you back most of the melody and a fair bit of the harmonies from memory. And I still find it boring.

Your going to catch so much crap from the peeps on here..but I'm with you. Too much of a good thing if you will....tho the rock thing he did kind of got my attention
Or even too much of a mediocre thing.
Please, stop playing so much "Sivert" and/or Madrugada
I've been listening to your station for almost 10 years now and this is the most blatant sign of your "Father Knows Best" <tp

Oh YES! I agree with you.........
'zactly what I came here to say. Really tired of this guy.
Although singing through gobs of reverb, I find no pretension, but only purity and sincerity. It's not boring at all when you delve into it and listen to it actively. Contrarily this song is a well polished diamond: no roughness here.

You have the nerve to accuse Bill of 'father knows best' , having written such a pompous load
of bilge?

get over yourself. If you had prefaced that with "In my opinion" I may not have said anything, but get over yourself
C'est vrai!

he's so great. love that voice.
The cadence of the song and the guitar in background reminds of Nancy Sinatra's Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down).
