The lights are dim and flickering
In this strange bar and on city streets
The night is young so come away with me
Come lose yourself and dance with me

Let’s just forget the world for now
And all our problems that we assume
It’s like the wind moving through the trees
Come lose yourself and dance with me

Sadness, pain and hatred
Dance it all away
Grab my hand and we will dance the night away
Sadness, pain and hatred
Dance it all away
Grab my hand and we will dance the night away

This life it can swallow you up whole
Just keep your head down and do as you’re told
Or you can live the wildest of dreams
Come lose yourself and dance with me

Sadness, pain and hatred
Dance it all away
Grab my hand and we will dance the night away
Sadness, pain and hatred
Dance it all away
Grab my hand and we will dance the night away

 Delightful  and refreshing
Sounds more like Serena Ryder than Amy Winehouse.

I do!

How could you be sad listening to this number?!  Music & dancing cures all!
It is so true, that we can, despite it all, dance the night away
I love that I know the song by the opening guitar arpeggios…  brilliant peppy bap ba bap ba’s
Remonds me of the band Best Coast. Now I like them both.
Not a great fan of the Amy Winehouse style voice but this is elegant.

or Roxy Music's "Dance Away" for a complete shift in tone.

the beginning has a Lord Huron vibe

Really tasteful rhythm guitar laying a wobbly, reverb-soaked bed for the vocals to dance around. I love music like this, when there's nothing singularly remarkable but rather every texture weaves together and becomes something tightknit and seamless. Like a sweater - just not an itchy one. I guess my point is that I felt it.

I Agree!

Channeling the ghost of Amy Winehouse....
Can't get enough of this song. That violin....
Had me thinking that the singer was Amy Winehouse....
Cualquiera que deja el golf por la música merece mi respeto

From another room, I thought I was hearing a new First Aid Kit song playing... I really do like this, and I appreciate RP for the wonderful turn-on!

It's funny how we hear things as I had my back to my PC and I thought it was an Amy Winehouse track I had not yet heard.  Regardless, I'm with you and enjoy this song as well.  Cheers to RP.

This song is an invitation to take a break from all the pain that exists in the world and take a moment to enrich the soul. That's why I like it.

I applaud her decision to drop her golf scholarship to do this.  Very talented.

They're a very good live band as well - friendly folks.
