When I first heard this, I thought it was Lucinds Wlliams playing with Bo Ramsey, both on guitars.
Abusey Junction?  Is that anywhere near Assaulty Avenue?

Ahhhhh. A female trombone player. That's something you don't see everyday.

To be fair, I don't see trombone players most days.
Very very cool
Oooooh, that's just fun to say: "KOKOROKO"
think I will stay right here…

wow!  First listen. Fantastic
Wrong album credit:  It's not on "Could We Be More" but I see it listed on an EP:  Kokoroko (2019, Brownswood Recordings) and a compilation: We Out Here (2018, also on Brownswood).

I prefer the percussion/drums here to Khruangbin.
Quite nice.
Smooth. Very smooth.
I like it.
Saw them recently in SF. Great live band!

Interesting segue...from The Smile.

The Smile is rated 5.8... this 7.2.  The knock on The Smile is that the voices are so mild and "melodic" as to be unintelligible, yet I find Thom's voice much more enjoyable than the guitar plucking here.

The songs are not that different (which I assume is the point), yet the ratings vary a great deal?   Gotta believe the "anti-Radiohead" crew is active.

I don't find them all that similar....not a huge Radiohead fan myself. Somebody else put it very well. So uninteresting as to be interesting. That is the way I feel about some of their music and other songs not so much.

I find the beautiful cover artwork (by Kasmir Jones) a perfect complement to this nicely soothing song.

If you’d told me in 1977 that I would like a song like this, I'd have laughed in your face. If you’re lucky maturity is one of the few gains you get with age.

Yup. Just snuck on me now as well.

Soft, soothing. Has a bit of Orchestra Baobab to it but with a much softer touch.

Sade meets Orchestra Baobab maybe? Solid 8.

Smooth as a duck's butt
Soooo Smoooooth
Here they are, playing to an empty Royal Albert Hall as part of the COVID-2020 Proms
This song just snuck up on me. Yes, I’m a sucker for trumpets. But this song congeals from the wisps of rhythm and the air of voices. I was 2/3rds in when I suddenly reali:zed it had grabbed me. Thanks RP, sharing this on Mastodon.
