What you got goin' on
Behind those eyes closed, holdin' on
I don't want another day to break
Take our, steal our night away
Warm shadow
Warm shadow
Won't you cast yourself on me
What you got in store for me
Keep those eyes closed, next to me
I don't want another day to break
Take our, steal our night away
Warm shadow
Warm shadow
Won't you cast yourself on me
Warm shadow
Warm shadow
Won't you cast yourself on me
Won't you stop breakin' in
Red sky, red light, awakenin'
I don't want another day to break
Take our, steal our night away
Take our, steal our night away
Take our, steal our night away
Take our, steal our night away
Take our, steal our night away

Is a warm shadow anything like the cold shoulder?

Well put. My belief too.

Another first time hearing Fink. RP can find them! Keep it going!

The John Martyn vibes are very clearly worn on the sleeve here. Especially John's Inside Out era!

I was just thinking this song was about being a grilled cheese sandwich from the bread's perspective...

"Warm cheddar! Won't you cast yourself on me!"
Let’s Tessellate.
Floyd and Fink, bring it on!
I wonder who else heard the the guitar riff and thought this was going to be "Johnny Appleseed" by Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros.

Used in Walking dead soundtrack third season.
Took a while to find a way to approach Fink's work but I did.
I find it brilliant and a welcome addition to the Eclectic menu.

I don't mean this to be offensive just an observation...the saying is you are what you eat could be changed to you are what you read or you are what you listen to...

ya this bill just getting us warmed up for a warm july night in big sky country. damn good.

Thanks for an evening and night of good music.  Much appreciated.

This is like Dave Matthews with balls. Still yucky.

Just a great pun, or are you getting a slight One Of These Days vibe off this, too?

Well he sneaks a little electric shimmer in towards the end of his nice slap echo piece, but yea. I like it.

Indeed.

Great ! J'adore
Hard to realize that this is an acoustic piece.
Sweeps one up in the rhythm and pacing, but may not stand repeated listenings. Good out of the gate though.

Heard this as well. To the point that I had to double check it wasn't Dave Matthews.

There are a lot of tunes that fit that scenario, especially stuff made during the psychedelic era of the late '60s.  Sometimes it worked, sometimes not so much.
Interesting. Very John Martin.
You both are roo cool!!! Thanx for all you do. Enjoy this station tremendously!
Dave Matthews with gravitas.
Another great tune.  Solid 8 from the Bristol office.
Their triplet guitar style has always been extra-appealing for songs with this timed tape echo element added in
{#Crashcomp}   radiohead on ludes...a bad combo.
This is Dave Mathews with a better guitar player.
Don't know exactly why, but I am extra-digging Fink...  more please!  {#Hungry}
It's alright, but that's about it.
Sounds a little like a guy version of Adele.
If this is the best tune on the album, then I'm not that interested.
Sounds like the old "Dave Wheatjeans" parody they did on National Lampoon Radio Hour back in the mid-70s.
first time i heard it...very very very nice...

Nice atmosphere, I like it.
{#Sleep} wake me when its over
By the way, which one's Fink?
I like the rhythm; The syncopation in 6/8 makes kind of a polyrhythm.  Pretty nifty!

Edit: Not sure why I thought this was in 6/8 but still really nifty.
Edit2: Oh I see now, towards the end it sounds more like 6/8 than 4/4.
Love this one...great groove, tension, and emotion!
The whole CD is gorgeous!
{#Daisy}  Luv it!
Like!

There actually are a few thing we Rpeeps collectively agree on---Bono is a wanker and musical judgments are subjective. Surprisingly, we don't have any people who post frequently that there exists a hierarchy of music.  Though we carp about hipsters a lot, actual hipster sightings are quite rare.

I  thought, "wow, this is a pretty compelling Dave Matthews song". Now I see I'm not the only one.

I heard when the Chrysler Prowler came out, the designers mentioned these cards as part of their inspiration.  I wonder what a set of these would run these days.  Had a lot of fun trading them with friends.

Loving this song! Really cool stuff
Bono singing from a few years back?
I'm liking what I am hearing.
Surprise,surprise..What a beautifull song comes along! Gave it an 8.
Pedestrian yet bothersome in a sub Dave Matthews kind of way. A weak 5.
Phew! for a moment I thought Bill said we were going to hear some Pink
that was great—-had never heard of them.

If you ever doubt how good this station is, just go listen to another for awhile.  As in all matters of taste, you cannot know good without first knowing bad.
Great song to run to. No need for a peak, just a nice steady pace.

Sounds like the Mumfords?
Kept waiting for the song to peek, but that high point just never arrived.
