Here comes the sun, and I say,
It's all right.
Little darlin', it's been a long cold lonely winter.
Little darlin', it feels like years since it's been here.
Here comes the sun, doo doo doo doo.
Here comes the sun, and I say,
It's all right.
Little darlin', the smiles returning to their faces,
Little darlin', it seems like years since it's been here.
Here comes the sun, doo doo doo doo.
Here comes the sun, and I say,
It's all right.
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes.
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes.
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes.
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes.
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes.
Little darlin', I feel that ice is slowly melting.
Little darlin', it seems like years since it's been here.
Here comes the sun, doo doo doo doo.
Here comes the sun, and I say,
It's all right.
Because this recording is a bit lacking, compared to the studio version?
Bingo

I wonder what great music he would have created until this day if that stupid f*ck wouldn't have killed him back then...
What's that black spot on your forehead?
The stupid fuck called cancer?
Why bother?
The stupid fuck called cancer?
I believe you are thinking of John Lennon who was indeed killed by someone fitting that description.
You got that right. The version from the Concert for Bangaldesh is the best. There are some other great tracks from that concert where they totally hit it out of the ballpark. For example, the medley of Jumpin Jack Flash and Youngblood as performed by Leon Russell and Don Preston. That is a WOW track!
Dylan's set at that concert is also great. Wish I could find it in my streaming app.
I thought this was a bad cover. Nah, it's just a bad version of George himself :( what's with the flutes? And his voice? What happened to his voice?!
The first bars made me cringe... then it got (a little bit) better. But then I can't see myself rating him under 6 so...
His voice suffered from 3 packs of cigarettes a day since he was young.

My favorite Beatle and my favorite Beatles song. And I do remember where I was when I heard George passed. A sad day.
Thank you George Harrison for Here Comes The Sun (Live) 9 -OUTSTANDING
I agree that it's a bit "precious" or pop-py. Still, it's essentially a very fine song, and one of the best songs by my favorite Beatle, either when he was one of the Fab or solo, so it flies high automatically.
Yes, my all time favorite Beatle as well. So enjoyed the documentary on him, I think it was on Netflix. Very much worth watching. He was a good man and tried to do his best for this world. He lived LOVE every day.
Solid 9. Yup! So thankful for this tune!
Me too. This felt "tiny" and a bit "trite". My all time favorite version is from the Concert for Bangladesh.

I can't imagine any contemporary artist doing that out of true compassion. Maybe to add to their twitterfeed, but not because they felt it was right.
Tom Petty. My bro experienced such a thing recently when he went to pick up a person from Tom Petty's home.
A plumber friend was excavating a sump hole in front of a huge mansion when a voice from above said " I'm going to put on the kettle, would you like a cup of tea?" It was George and yes, he and the hole digger had a companionable cuppa together.
Cannot imagine John having that conversation.
Sounds more like something Ringo would do!

Yes, yes.
Tears rolling at the moment, and I have no idea why. Just the beauty of the song itself, I guess, and sad that George's life was so short.
While I agree with you, there are 9 people who've rated this as a 1. Those must be the people my husband and I refer to as the people that don't like sunshine, fresh air and puppies.
Sometimes live versions can be a little weak, but this is an outstanding version.
is that all!!!
Have ve watched many a sunrise flying eastbound from my cockpit. The song instantly connects.
I'm totally good with that but just wondering if he's going through a phase :)
(Beautiful drawing below...)

George Harrison: Living in the Material World, a film produced by Martin Scorcese along with Harrison's widow Olivia, is set to air in two parts on October 5th and 6th.
Time flies when we're having fun... love this song...
Ummm, 24 karat is the pure stuff.
But this is indeed great stuff. A solid 10.
marvelous live version...
Everybody in my church loves this live version...
Two GH tunes in a row. Time to get the wallet out and do my bit to support your great efforts!
It will be snowing in Boston (again) around 10 pm tonight. I'm ready for the sunshine, and the locals tell me this won't be anything close to the last snow of this winter.
Same as the riff for If I Needed Someone.

Are you available to play with us in KC?

Not a dork at all, Cynaera. George was always my favourite Beatle. Always love your commentary!
In an aside: I realize the American spell check does not approve of my stubbornly using British commonwealth spelling. However, while I am not surprised that Beatles is considered a proper word, the singular is surprisingly viewed as a mispelling.
Very sunny and bright-George was sooo underrated as a Beatle.
I was just thinking along those lines, the wisdom conveyed in the simplicity...my first kid´s cot doll had this tune, my wife and I are from South America and we were living in London when he was born and the lack of sun killed us, so this was always a balm.
These are my very emotions listening to this today.
Yep...I'm sharing the same sentiments. Glad to hear more of George Harrison's output than the other Beatles solo stuff here. Gone too soon.

I know, I missed the anniversary of his untimely death... but it's better late than never, right? This drawing accompanied a newspaper article I wrote about him in remembrance. One of my all-time favorite pieces.

GEORGE HARRISON & ERIC CLAPTON - CHEER DOWN, LIVE IN JAPAN: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qNtNLhJg-A
He looked so sad - no eye contact.... But watching him play, he dropped his left hand from the frets and then found the right chord immediately - such confidence in his abilities.
Thank you, as always, Calypsus_1. An awesome piece of history that will provide insight to anyone who chooses to click the link and watch.
Well, George seems to give this a "toss off" treatment rather than the reverential preservation it deserves. It's his song, however, and he can do with it as he pleases. (I mean all of this in past tense, of course.)
"The Concert for Bangladesh" (NYC MSG, August 1st, 1971) — Band Introduction. Featuring George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Jim Keltner, Klaus Voormann, Jesse Ed Davis, Eric Clapton, Jim Horn & The Hollywood Horn Players, Leon Russell, Badfinger, Billy Preston.
GREAT song... and this is one sweet live version...
When I saw him do this live on his 1974 tour, I melted. Just gorgeous.

To each his own I guess. I love live versions, and this is no exception.
"I'd never heard about this version: it's wonderful! I think George Harrison would be very pleased."
