Thank you for the info!
The documentary about him looks really fascinating. You can really hear the blues and Ali Farka Toure influence in his work : https://phi-centre.com/en/even...

Lived in the middle-east for more than 2 decades. Like the rest of the world there is a huge amount of cross-pollination musically (and linguistically). Since discovering this artist courtesy of RP I have acquired a real taste for this sound. Once again R & B I thank you.

fred, I thought you are/were a professional linguist. Do you really want to rubbish the Tamasheq language as "burbling"?
Yeah, c'mon, Fred. "Burbling"? I know for a fact that you love it when I speak French to you, even though you don't have the foggiest idea what I'm saying.

On first read, I'm always slightly confused on the whole Bonobo / Bombino thing..like "when did Simon start doing the whole African deal?"...oh yeah, wrong guy...

Perfect segue. This beautiful has 14 comments. But it's so far from a placekeeper! Open your ears to an entirely different tonal scale, and you will love this. Ears aren't that hard to open.

Yep, this number was good whilst it was just guitar, but went downhill to my ears after he started burbling.

I guess they're not fans of a Tuareg making music in America (Woodstock NY at that) and I'm more than happy to take a closer listen, heck I'll probably get the whole album.
Long live RP and all the music from around the globe!
Happy Friday from Seattle!
I have to buy this album!
This is the first play - and within seconds there are two 1 votes? Really?
