One good thing about music, when it hits you (you feel no pain)
Oh, oh, I say, one good thing about music, when it hits you (you feel no pain)
Hit me with music, hit me with music now
This is (Trenchtown rock), don't watch that
(Trenchtown rock), big fish or sprat now
(Trenchtown rock) You reap what you sow
(Trenchtown rock), and only Jah, Jah know
(Trenchtown rock) I'd never turn my back
(Trenchtown rock), I'd give the slum a try
(Trenchtown rock) I'd never let the children cry
(Trenchtown rock), 'cause you got to tell Jah, Jah why
(Groovin') It's Kingston 12
(groovin'), it's Kingston 12
(Groovin') It's Kingston 12 now
(groovin'), it's Kingston 12
No want you come galang so, oh no
(... no want you fe galang so), ska-ba-dip-ska-ba
(You want come cold I up ...) Ska-ba-dibby-dip,
Ska-ba-doop, ska-ba-doop (... cold I up)
Oh, oh, I'm groovin', and the world knows by now,
Now, now, now, now, now, now, now, y'all
Oh now, I said, you feel no pain now
One good thing about music, when it hits you (you feel no ...) feel no pain
Hit me with music now, oh now, hit me with music now
Hit me with music, harder, brutalize me (... music)
This is (Trenchtown rock), I say, don't watch that
(Trenchtown rock), if you a big fish or sprat
(Trenchtown rock) You reap what you sow
(Trenchtown rock), and everyone know now
(Trenchtown rock) Don't turn your back
(Trenchtown rock), I say, give the slum a try
(Trenchtown rock) Never let the children cry
(Trenchtown rock), or you got to tell Jah, Jah why
(Groovin') It's Kingston 12
(groovin'), it's Kingston 12
(Groovin') I said, it's Kingston 12 now
(groovin'), oh, oh, oh, it's Kingston 12
(No want you fe galang so) Didn't I told you that
(no want you fe galang so) we should leave with love?
(You want come cold I up ...) I'm not gonna do that, man,
Nothin' (... come cold I ...), and look deh now
(Groovin') And then it's Kingston
12, uh
(Good God ...) Good God, looky here now, uh
Hit me with music ...

Better than having NO recording, though, eh??

10. From one of the best live albums ever.
No 24 hour music block should contain more than one reggae tune.

I would never call anyone an idiot or accuse them of being tone deaf. You just need to listen a little harder man to understand that Three Little Birds and Exodus and No Woman No Cry and One Love and I Shot the Sherrif and Trenchtown Rock and .....I could go on.....are note all the same.
I tried to get a band we had hired to play a certain Marley song for an event. They reported back later that it was too hard for them to learn the song in the relatively short time available because it was rather complex. the songs might sound somewhat alike to some listeners, but there are many nuances that make them unique; like finding little surprises/ prizes .

It is. You are preaching to the choir there. I wonder if any of us here read each other's posts. You obviously don't read mine, and that is rather a shame. I do read yours. I cannot believe you would accuse me of such folly.
For the record, I do not hate Reggae or any music. What I hate are music categories and the bullies who say if you don't like this or that category of music or songs or artists, then there is something wrong with you. That is the definition of hate.
I posed a legit question below. Someone says they are "right" about a style of music, and that those who do not "get" it are "wrong". This is the very definition of stupidity in my opinion. There is no right or wrong in matters of taste.
I actually do read a lot of your posts; that's why your initial post puzzled me somewhat. I did not intend for the wording of my post to accuse you of "folly". I know what you mean about the "bully" tactics of stating that if one doesn't like this or that that they must be, in some way, inferior. My statement was not so much meant towards you as much as it was towards the detractors who assert that anyone who alleges to like Marley's music is merely posing or pretending, and that the music form itself, is without merit - essentially, the inverse of what you stated. You have probably noticed how, on reggae songs in particular, many posters not only express their dislike for the music, but also maintain that there are some aesthetic or moral flaws in those who do like it. Anyhow, you are exactly right: "There is no right or wrong in matters of taste." I don't even really like this tune that much - it's okay.

This live version is my favorite Trenchtown Rock.
immer wieder Bob hören
Seriously, I see so mutch hatin', so much ragin', if you really don't like the song, can't you admit that it was not made for you ? The song is awesome to me, and a lot of other people as well. Let the vote decide if it should stay or not, but don't bring the hatin' in this song... You ain't alone there, other people choices, voices, votes and tastes actually MATTERS for Radio Paradise.
