All speech directed to me
I've heard them once before
I know that feeling
Stranger emotions in mind
Changing the contours I find
I've seen them once before
Someone cries to me
Oh, the look and the sound of the voice
They try, they try
Oh, the shape and the power of the voice
In strong low tones
Forceful and twisting again
Wasting the perfect remains
I've felt it once before
Slipping over me
Oh, the look and the sound of the voice
They try, they try
Oh, the shape and the power of the voice
In strong low tones
Sweetly the voices decay
Draw on the lines that they say
I'd lost it once before
Now it cries to me
Oh, the look and the sound of the voice
They try, they try
Oh, the shape and the power of the voice
In strong low tones
Oh, the look and the power of the voice
They try
Oh, the shape and the sound of the voice
In strong low tones
I think this files corrupted...2 minutes of silence at the end for me...
faded out after about 90s again 6/12/22. BillG?
Yea! Magically fixed by 6/29/22. It's one of my favorite from the Ultravox records I own, too. Nice to hear the whole song.

Aaaah...Ultavox. In the late 70´s, early 80´s, a teenager with pretentions, (and sideburns of a sort), had "semi- official" night access to the Crysalis studios just off Oxford Street. I was the nightshift´s "pet" but I didn’t care, I had made it! I would roam the rooms looking for thrown away “Demos” and, If I had been lucky, there might have been a party that afternoon.
Strewn over beer and white wine drenched tables there would be trays half full of fancy hors d'oeuvres and half glasses of Brown ale. I first ate real caviar over tiny damp crackers in those smoke laden dens...oh the joy! On one of my trips, I found a shirt and a pair of almost complete Ray-ban sunglasses in the bin. The shirt had a blue and yellow exploding pineapple printed on it and I was told that it had been abandoned by a member of ULTRAVOX! I could only dream of what those parties were like! I promptly scoffed down my handful of soggy crackers and made off with my prize! I wore the shirt until it turned into threads, and I still have the sunglasses! Thank you Ultravox, I am the man I am today because of the heritage you left behind.
