Johnny Cash — I'm On Fire
Hey, little girl, is your daddy home
Did he go away and leave you all alone
I got a bad desire
I'm on fire
Tell me now, baby, is he good to you
Can he do to you the things that I do
I can take you higher
I'm on fire
It's like someone took a knife, edgy and dull
Dug a six-inch valley In the middle of my skull
At night, I wake up with the sheets soaking wet
Freight train running through the middle of my head
Only you can cool my desire
Oh, oh, oh, I'm on fire
Oh, oh, oh, I'm on fire
Hey, little girl, is your daddy home
Did he go away and leave you all alone
I got a bad desire
Oh, oh, oh, I'm on fire
And tell me now, baby, is he good to you
Can he do to you the things that I do
I can take you higher
Oh, oh, oh, I'm on fire
I'm on fire
I'm on fire
Did he go away and leave you all alone
I got a bad desire
I'm on fire
Tell me now, baby, is he good to you
Can he do to you the things that I do
I can take you higher
I'm on fire
It's like someone took a knife, edgy and dull
Dug a six-inch valley In the middle of my skull
At night, I wake up with the sheets soaking wet
Freight train running through the middle of my head
Only you can cool my desire
Oh, oh, oh, I'm on fire
Oh, oh, oh, I'm on fire
Hey, little girl, is your daddy home
Did he go away and leave you all alone
I got a bad desire
Oh, oh, oh, I'm on fire
And tell me now, baby, is he good to you
Can he do to you the things that I do
I can take you higher
Oh, oh, oh, I'm on fire
I'm on fire
I'm on fire

Even William Shatner can sing better than this. Appropriate that the album title includes "Bad".
I don\'t know much about JC\'s music, but I know there must be more to him than this and his even worse cover of U2\'s One. Help me out Bill, can you play something that will make me understand why he\'s a legend, and not the new William Shatner...
I don\'t particularly like JC normally, but this one\'s just bad! Don\'t go knockin\' the Boss though. He\'s got some awesome songs! (Rosalita probably being my favorite).
The album this comes from is interesting though. I seem to like abotu every odd-numbered track and really dislike every even-numbered one. Dar Williams does a great version of \"Highway Patrolman\" (I think it\'s called), and there\'s a decent Ben Harper cover on the album too.
This is how you take a very sexy song and turn it into something obscene. Makes me want to see a big bucket of ice water being mercifully thrown over Mr. Cash\'s head to shut him up!
This is a joke - it\'s supposed to be funny, right? Kinda sad and cruel, actually, to hear him struggle so.
Poor old guy. Nobody close to him has the balls to tell him he just cant sing anymore
this sounds like it was recorded at an AARP convention.
The best thing about this song? I don\'t have to listen to Springsteen! :D
JC is indeed a god ;)

Some of the Johnny Cash covers are pretty good, but this one just doesn\'t work. Almost totally emotionless.
I don\'t think your \'sposed to take the \"hey little girl\" seriously :p
....JC is a god. :D
Johnny Cash (who just turned 70) singing \'hey little girl is your daddy home?\' Gimme a break! Creepy indeed! It\'s at least good for a couple of laughs, especially when he goes; ooohoohoo. Maybe Mr. Cash should stick to his Ring Of Fire and leave little girls alone. A bit dangerous at his age!
as much as I appreciate Johnny Cash, it really doesn\'t sound like he\'s On Fire.
