Pour les journées de pluie c'est parfait…
A sad song, indeed!

Go see him live if you have a chance. He has an incredible band of amazingly talented musicians with him, and they put on a fantastic show. I first heard of Jesse Cook though RP, although then I found out he has a couple PBS shows also (which is why both shows I went to were very sold-out).

You lucky duck.   I wish that I could have been there!
God bless this man, his music is amazing

Utterly beautiful.  Plus, I don't think I've ever heard a piece of music where the cello didn't fit.  10 for pure soul.

How long last played. I'm Greeting. Thanks PSD
Yes - at first I thought it was an instrumental cover version of Amy Winehouse "Back to Black" but as it progressed I realised I was wrong. Very beautiful none the less.

Beautiful, but putting me to sleep.
Love this. Thank you.
Another Canadian national treasure. Only special places give this air time. RP knows how to select them!
LOVE the cello!!
Guess I have to buy this now.
Oooooh that's goooood. Haunting, evocative and passionate
Extraordinary music.
A beautiful piece by my homeboy! Nice to hear on RP!

I ranked this a rare 10 long ago, but I ain't said nothing about it yet...  marvelous minor key melody, and Jesse Cook is fast, fast on the draw...

I never knew about Jesse Cook before Radio Paradise, but now he's one of my favorite musicians!

{#Music}
Nice!
Pretty much hooked as soon as it started.  Bill is doing one of those runs of great songs i don't know to dampen my already waning enthusiasm to go shopping.
This really complements the warm summer evening.

Your mime, more than mimics, Mr. Cook's virtuousity..............you jess' describe the beauty of his music, like the table setting of the best cooked meal I ever had prepared before me.

{#Cheers}
Jesse cooks on every track, of every album he's recorded...............get 'em all. In a genre of his own.
That Feller Sure Can Pluck Them Strangs Good fer sure.
Niiiccceeeee. Mellow. But not too mellow. I applaud RP for this hour's playlist.
bought it and love it
My wife and I have seen Jesse live a couple of times.  Once outdoors at a Roots and Blues festival in the Interior of BC, and once in Vancouver.  Each time he transported us.  It may be easy for some to dismiss this music, but he is a very serious and dedicated musician with a unique talent.  He really respects the musical heritage of different cultures and he incorporates those influences into his compositions to create something truly special.  The only down side is that after listening to Mr. Cook, I am more than a bit discouraged about my own guitar playing abilities, or lack thereof.

Wow, this is nice and I've got no one to dance with!!!

First the Weepies and then this ... Bill, you're killing me today.
Bill...Bon a petite!!!
Man but this guy's music is growing on me.... oh well, back to the shops!
This proves that a guitar and a cello can outproduce an entire orchestra.
Brilliant!
Can I live in this song? Please don't let it end....
I have one son who plays cello and one who plays guitar. I am going to be sure they hear this and I would love LOVE to hear them play it. This is so beautiful.
Awesome song! Brilliant Artist!

Thanks so much RP for introducing me to the music of Jesse Cook! I've bought his album, Vertigo, for myself and just about everyone I know-- we all adore it!

Without fail, when I hear an acoustic piece on RP that is just blowing me away, and I break out with the "Who _IS_ this? It's WONDERFUL!" - clicking through has shown it to be Jesse Cook. Time to buy the album, eh? :)
Careful you don't buy this guy's album rather this guy's.....

:nodhead: It's excellent throughout --- and often much more "spirited" than this beautiful piece.
