And when you kissed the sky it made your sister scream
You ate our chips
And you drank our Coke
Then you showed me mars through your telescope
Oh Grace
Save your money for the children
Oh Grace
Save your money for the children
Oh Grace
Save your money for the children
Oh grace
Save your money for the children
Oh grace
Save your money for the children
Oh grace
Save your money, save your money
Well, you sang your songs and you made us laugh
So we captured you in a photograph
And when the stars came out your mother called your name
But when the morning comes we'll get together again
Oh Grace
Save your money for the children
Oh Grace
Save your money for the children
Oh Grace
Save your money for the children
Oh Grace
Save your money for the children
Oh Grace
Save your money for the children
Oh Grace
Save your money, save your money, girl
Save your money
Save your money for the
Save your money for the children
You save your money for the children
Ahhhh
Get an, get an, get an, get an
Get an, get an, get an, get an
Get an, get an, get an, get an
Oh Grace
Save your money for the children
Oh grace
Save your money, save your money, girl
Everybody there's lovin' in part of the game
Grace was a girl that was at a BBQ where the band were. She had a T-shirt on that said "save you money for the children". I heard an interview on the BBC. I suspect she ate their chips and drank their coke too
Thanks! Grace apparently made a big impression on the boys.
yet ANOTHER RP epiphany for me.
I’ve lost count of how many musicians RP has introduced to me. Conservatively: thousands,
Long Live Radio Paradise!! 🎉🙏☮️
I would post a dancing banana if I knew how!

Except for the lyrics - "Save your money for the children".
A bit too close to the bone.
I have been doing just that but I am starting to think maybe I should start spending some of their future inheritance on myself...

It's all over for the "The Grass"...
4/13/10—Britpop veterans SUPERGRASS have finally called it a day - 17 years after forming.
And, yes, in the finest rock tradition they have blamed "musical differences".
The rockers broke through in 1995 with summer hit Alright - including the lyrics "We are young, we run free, Keep our teeth, nice and clean," - when they were fresh-faced youths.
The band, drummer DANNY GOFFEY, frontman GAZ COOMBES, bassist MICK QUINN and keyboard player ROB COOMBES, will play four farewell shows in June starting at Glasgow Barrowlands on June 8.
The group said: "We still love each other but, cliche notwithstanding, musical differences have led to us moving on."
Distressing news. At least they went out on top. Road to Rouen is one of the finest pop albums of the last decade. RIP.

This post reminds me of an actual comment from a math challenged individual that I worked with briefly. When told of the sale price of certain product he said, and I quote, "If that's half price I'd hate to know the full price!"
if this is the best, i'd hate to hear the worst
Rockabobbie wrote: My three year old daughter loves to dance to this one. She's got a friend with a trampoline and last winter we went out to check out mars most every night. She dances around the living room, with her elbows bent 90-degress, crankin' them in and out, then pipes in with "save your money for the children..." then I go "ooohh grace," then she goes "save your money..." Priceless. |

Wonderful image - thanks for sharing. Is your daughter's name Grace by chance?
That would be perfect, KALINEVE. Alas, my daughter's name is Claire. However, she turned 8 last week—and still digs her some Supergrass. I throw it on later-day mixes, just for good measure!
I see what you mean: they did channel a bit of Teddybears, didn't they?
I was totally poppin in hoping to see/hear that
