I'm so grateful I got to see this lovely, talented artist perform in perhaps the most perfect setting of all, at Boulder's eTown Hall, last July... The connections were strong! She loves it here, and used to live here; her husband did and might occasionally still be doing work at the various awesome weather science labs at NCAR... She is back in the limelight, after taking some time for her climate activism and raising her daughter, who was in the audience -- her very first live show attendance, the beaming artist confided. Vienna Teng is a Universe unto herself! She can weave her delightful magic spells with any instrument, from the grandest piano to a new hand-held digital synth-looper-thing from The Future, and her voice is enchanting...exhilarating...HEAVENLY...
such a powerful song about trying to work through grief

I am in no way qualified to make an assessment on such matters, but I have to think that the engineer on this recording was masterful at presenting Miss Teng at her finest. Kudos to the recording crew.

Hey, everyone has their own workout music. I just prefer the lyrical variety.
I really don't know, why people love all this pooring songs of this woman, and why there are so many songs at the playlist.

I didnt like her much at first, but its really been growing on me.
For those unhappy with the repetitiveness of this song, that is partially the point, according to what Teng has said in concerts. She said her mother is among those who have complained about the chorus of "Breathe in... Breathe Out.. Exhale"
Vienna has a new album coming out this fall. But recently, she graduated from the University of Michigan's Erb Institute – a joint program of the school's natural resources and business schools to develop sustainable projects that make economic sense. In part to celebrate her graduation, she played a live concert on her porch last month - and I was among those lucky enough to be present.
