Oh I am just a vagabond
A drifter on the run
And eloquent profanity
It rolls right off my tongue
And I have dined in palaces
Drunk wine with Kings and Queens
But darlin', oh darlin'
You're the best thing I've ever seen
Won't you roll me easy
Oh slow and easy
Take my independence
With no apprehension,no tension
You walki' talkin' dream paradise
Sweet pair a' dice
Well I been across this country
From Denver to the ocean
And I never met girls who could sing so sweet
Like the angels that live in Houston
Singin' "Roll me easy, so slow and easy...
Play that Concertina,I'll be your temptress..."
And baby I'm defenseless
Singin' harmony
In unison
Sweet harmony
Gotta hoist your flag and I'll beat your drum

For so many years I thought Lowell had little feet.

Nice to hear other songs by little feat besides dixie chicken
Some songs make me just stop whatever I'm doing and listen. This is one of them.
An easier ten was never given!
long live southern rock

Love the Feat. Very Important band for me. Saw them behind a high school inSanta Cruz in 79. W Bonnie, John Oates and Jane Fonda. Up against the 4’ riser. What a show!!

Yep. Saw them then and remember wishing they'd never stop playing. There's a Fat Man in the Bath Tub....
This song leaves me breathless. So spare and exquisite.

Saw them twice in uk mid 70s - once supporting doobie bros and the crowd were still cheering for the Feat when Doobies came on stage. Great band!

F - Troop? Now there's a show I had forgotten all about. Gonna look for some classic episodes. I would love to find the one with Lowell George.
I still miss you, Lowell.
More Feat please RP

That's pretty f-ing rude. You should be ashamed.
In spite of the mood you put me in into this is a great tune.

Shamelessness is the mode for many.  A sad but true reality is that people like this exist and that boards like these are where they leave their droppings for the unsuspecting to step in.

It is a great tune from a great band.  I hope it brought you back to a sweet spot before it was over.

The great Lowell George, still missed but never forgotten.
{#Devil_pimp}great album great cut and both still zesty!

Lazarus, you are spot on here. I went to a Tedeshi Trucks show last year and two guys wandered on stage unannounced and started playing Feat songs on acoustic guitar and mandolin, took me a second before I realized who it was. They were great!
One can never get enough of Little {#Dancingbanana}Feat
Lowell - we need you, dude.  I truly wish you were still with us.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS Y'ALL!!!  FAB-U-LICIOUS LOWELL    : )
Interesting bit of trivia:

I recently discovered that this song was the inspiration for the name of Peekskill Brewery's Roll 'em Easy Pale Ale.

I love the song; haven't yet tried the beer.

{#Drunk}
Little Feat are from the future.  Preserved on a Voyager spacecraft.  Humanity across the universe.
Mmm.

That hits the spot.

Thanks, Bill!
still gives me chills ! rip lowell
I'm such a sucker for good slide.
Beyond comparison.

My dad told me his dad said the same thing to him... and that was back in 1938.
Nice sound! Who is playing the guitar?
So simple and sublime. Just Lowell, two guitars and Danny Hutton of 3-Dog Night harmonizing.

Dammit!  Missed this as I walked down the hall ...
One of the great unsung bands. So good to hear the Feats.

Love the Feat.  They're coming to the Mountain Winery this summer.  I'm a-goin'!
The Feat never fail me.
Truly a TEN
10. 'Nuff said!
"tripe-faced' - I like that!  May have to plagiarise..........

Just going about my day and Lowell nailed me in place yet again. RIP Fatman.
Lowell's son lives in Austin, he called in to one of the local morning radio shows not long ago. Seemed pretty interesting.
What a treat!!!   Roll um easy....    slow and easy...

My brother turned me on to Little Feat... considered alternative rock back in the 70's.  Thanks Steve!   You were my Radio Paradise back in the day.
   {#Cowboy}

Pure Lowell
at his best . . .

Keep these Feat songs coming  . . .

THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!{#Cowboy}
Hey, I could need this after a day like the one I just had! Thanks RP!!!
Bill:  TOO GOOD, MAN!!!  How am I supposed to get any work done?!?!?  By the way, I can vouch that there are angels living in Houston.

doh! seeing just the band and song title, i was thinking this was RPs first foray into rap!
This song makes me have chills up my back. Such a satisfying song...

Wait while I put on my sailin' shoes and finish sneakin' Sally through the alley.  Meet you at the Spanish Moon, or the lobby of the Commodore Hotel, or maybe in ... oh, Atlanta?

Saw the 21st century version of these guys last month.  It was one giant sing-along because everybody knew all the words.  Lowell is missed, but the fat guys with grey hair or bald heads still have what it takes to deliver fresh tripe-faced boogie.

Don't forget the opening on the LP of "Join the Band" before the kick off of Fat Man. Back in the day, if you had a good turntable and headphones you could hear Lowell (i presume) snorting a few lines...
I love this song...simple and so sweet

So fine! One of my favorite Feats . . . actually, one of my favorites, period.
This may have been one of his finest...and that's sayin' something. Rest easy Lowell.
I saw the last tour before Lowell left us, and the first time was in 1976 opening for The Who, an odd mix, but a truly phenomenal show. This sounds so fine
missing Mr. George.
The complete love song.
It's funny - the best concert I ever went to, and the worst concert I ever went to were both Little Feat. One bad concert won't tarnish my view of this great band for too long.
