You have forsaken
All the love you've taken
Sleeping on a razor
There's nowhere left to fall

Your body's aching
Every bone is breaking
Nothing seems to shake it
It just keeps holding on

Ah, ah
Ah, ah
Ah, ah
Ah, ah

Your soul is able
Death is all you cradle
Sleeping on the nails
There's nowhere left to fall

You have admired
Every man desires
Everyone is king
When there's no one left to pawn

Ah, ah
Ah, ah
Ah, ah
Ah, ah

There is no peace here
War is never cheap, dear
Love will never meet here
It just gets sold for parts

You cannot fight it
All the world denies it
Open up your eyelids
Let your demons run

Ah, ah
Ah, ah
Ah, ah
Ah, ah

I thread the needle through

I thread the needle through
You beat the devil's tattoo
I thread the needle through
You beat the devil's tattoo
I thread the needle through
You beat the devil's tattoo

I bled the needle through
You beat the devil's tattoo
I thread the needle through
You beat the devil's tattoo
I bled the needle through
You beat the devil's tattoo
I thread the needle through
You beat the devil's tattoo

Half a dozen beers and I might, just might get into this song.  Otherwise....
I've heard some good music from this band, but this isn't it.  This is a grating dirge.

{#Frustrated}
There's that awesome segue from this into Sing, Sing, Sing again. {#Drummer} Love it!
This sounds quite similar to “Grounds for Divorce” by Elbow.
Not a bad lil Rock Band. Nice to know there are still a few left.

yep, sounds like Bon Jovi on cheap liquor
Perfect car song....!)))
Aside for the normal wonderful segues her on RP, it strikes me that those to and from BRMC songs are especially interesting. From this to Sing, Sing, Sing by James Horner (R.I.P.). The Devil's Tattoo has a definite swing vibe. {#Tongue-out}

You are missing out on the tattoos.  I have two and plan on at least 2 more in the next several years.  The trick is to find something that you love enough to see it for the rest of your life, that your significant other won't mind (or preferably like), and something that's uniquely you.

I got a tattoo of a gargoyle over my heart after a bad relationship to protect me from evil bitches and only a few months later I met the woman who became my wife.  Just sayin..

They do seem to show up everywhere.....wtf is wrong with getting drilled in the skin with ink?  Good tune, though {#Lol}

Fred, it is good to see you keep an open mind.   Made me happy because I really like this band.   {#Group-hug}

A fine number, but I was a bit disappointed by the CD which isn't a patch on their earlier work IMO. Pretty good, but not outstanding or distinctive as I'd come to expect. Maybe it'll improve after a few more listens.

Edit: I take the above back - after another listen the CD's really hit me in the guts, even more emotion and oomph than their previous excellent effort. Well worth shelling out your hard-earned on.

I do love the way the name of this band really upsets some folk who expect heavy metal rather than fuzzy rock/psychedelia. A bit like the way Massive Attack's music deliberately confounds their name.

Same thing over and over. "Next song, please!"
6 to 7 cause yall seem to like it.  Tattoos are not for me!

I think they sound a bit like T.Rex, if they survived to today. Good album.
very very repetitive and boring. unfortunately.
Thinks the singer sounds like a horse?

This band is growing on me, which is a surprise. Maybe I need to hear the entire CD ?

Will they be coming to take you home anytime soon? {#Cool}

I'm liking this band more and more....{#Cowboy}{#Kiss}{#Fire}

They're definitely identifiable - I didn't even have to look to know it was BRMC. For some reason, they remind me a little of Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.... And no, I don't mean that in a bad way! And the name... Brando would laugh his ass off in delight.

I should add: the more BRMC I hear, the more I come to believe they've got some of the best lyrics going.  Subtle, complex, deep.

hey, was wondering what happened to these guys!

How long did the cycle in your post take? :) Some good albums take even longer than 2 listens for them to really kick in.

Like nails on a chalkboard..? Sounds like a proper rock song!

I can take or leave this band usually, but I like this song!

Really like this song, but I wish they had a little more energy at their live shows.  They sound just like the album and that's not really what I go to a show to experience.  You may disagree, but I've heard the same from a few different people at different venues.  YMMV.

Actually, it's a girl drummer - Leah Shapiro - and she's amazing. She hits harder than most of the guy drummers I've seen live. I've got a fairly massive girl-crush on her.

Another great BRMC song. Can't wait to pick up this album.
Didn't I hear this on their last CD, or was it the one before that?

{#Ask}
I see a drummer just beating the heck out of the cymbals with every crash and trying to muster all the energy he can to bash the bass drums after a hard night of partying. "What do you mean we have a studio session in the morning"? Thanks for keeping new and old music in the mix. It keeps the old timers up to speed.
Very enjoyable. {#Bananajam}
Awesome!
