It's not that funny is it
When you don't know what it is
But you can't get enough of it
If's not that funny is it?
Don't blame me!
Please, please, please!
I didn't wanna bleed so
I didn't wanna be this late
So don't make me wait!
It's not that funny is it
No one to turn you on
All your hope is gone
It's not that funny is it?
Don't blame me!
Please, please, please!
You're here cause I say so
Didn't wanna be this late
So don't make me
Don't make me wait!
Here comes the nightime looking for a little more
Waiting on the right time somebody outside the door.
When you don't know what it is
But you can't get enough of it
If's not that funny is it?
Don't blame me!
Please, please, please!
I didn't wanna bleed so

A "deep cut" for sure, but... NO. How far had Fleetwood Mac fallen from the Peter Green version at this point? Sheesh

I can't believe you are playing this underrated Canadian band. So many hits and great songs but I never heard this one.
The last group I saw live in late January 2020 and they were as good as when I saw them 20 years ago.

The best album since "Rumours"
Sounds like a song about not getting enough sex and getting frustrated
Its not that great is it?

No it's not. Ouch my ears are hurting.
Not only do I think this song is 'Not That Funny' - or Fun - but I think it's the worst Fleetwood song ever. A Solid 1.Bill - PLEASE stop playing this !!

Hearing "Video Killed the Radio Star". Which is kinda funny.

It's not that good, is it?
mainstream pop goes punk, pure fun goes goosebumps/nightmare, easy listening goes avantgarde-art. one of the most unbelievable songs in rock history :-)
Hearing "Video Killed the Radio Star". Which is kinda funny.
I have always loved this album. Had it not followed Rumours it would have been much better received. Tusk as the first single might have been a mistake. I like the song but it didn't make for an 'accessible' single. Also, they probably would have been wise to keep it at a double album rather than a triple. However, I believe it's a brilliant record and still enjoy it.
I am wired the same way...songs play in my head relating to a situation that I find myself in.. Angry_Old_Man wrote:
Pretty funny that you are playing this.
I broke up a brawl once (barely) between Army MP and USMC Colonel, where the catalyst statement by the MP, "It's not that funny is it" was used while simultaneous physical force was exerted. What a wedding reception...Whew!
Had that song in my head for at least 2 or 3 days after. "Not that funny is it" still makes me laugh to this day. Thanks Lindsey

A throw away from Fleetwood Mac. I suppose they needed filler to complete an album.

It was an amazing thing: the "first" FM album that was flat out genius. Then, the Rumors album that cemented them as important - not just in pop but as great songwriters.
And then...TUSK. Neither fish nor flesh. Genius musicianship with great ballads and then a healthy dose of "F...U..." and songs like this one and the title cut.
A truly great album, especially after stripping away the (wrong) reflexive hatred of anyone/anything popular. These guys were popular for many very good reasons.
I hate Tusk'. Which is a strange & unfamiliar feeling for one of my all-time-favorite bands. It deserves a 5. Oops! I gave the song 'Tusk' a rare sucko-barfo. Maybe I'll be nicer to this one.

One of those songs that can be hard to take unless you have the headphones on and can hear all the little details. Which I don't, but I already like it so it's okay. 7.

Bleat-wood Schmack.
Not that great a song, is it
I've had this album since the early '80s, and have mixed feelings about it. Some of the songs are GREAT. Others... well... let's just say this song proves they left Lindsay alone a bit too long in the studio and at the production board...
Sounds like amateurs recording in a dive bar.
Kinda sounds like a rough draft for "I Don't Want To Know"
This album came out when I was in college, bought it & thought it was great. Always liked this group.
I love the simplicity of Lindsey's lyrics combined with his truly amazing guitar
