I was here in the world, the world that you gave me every time
You can say that you're running ' cuz I can go back on the street
I'll be here when we both gonna fake it
We're awake

No more try to hear killing your goal
Means I can be bigger then the tones
In the moments of suffering
Like the feeling that you gave me, like a snowflake though the fire
I'll be frozen in time but you'll be here
Suffering

Will you be here suffering?
Will you be here suffering?
Well I hope to be here

What?
Mellow and soft but with meaning, rich in content, those that don't like it, don't listen to it, you have that option.
As for RP not spending enough money, perhaps you should try running a radio station without adverts and no thanks!
A quick search for calle01 produces a null set.  Apparently that user either left or was ejected. Good move either way.

I wish they had just called themselves Granduciel. It's a lovely word that somehow captures their music.

I understand that the artist's real name is Granofsky, and he assumed the stage name after a French teacher translated "Granofsky" into "Granduciel."
I love War On Drugs, one of the better new bands to grace our world. It's too bad people feel inclined or the need to verbally abuse a band/song they "think" is awful or bad. If you don't like the song, rate it and move on...PSD button is there for you. I am fairly certain nobody really cares to hear anyone rant negativity.
I don't know what it is, but this band just sounds so noisy to me. I don't know how to describe it....Just so shrill.

This group really knows how to deliver indelible soundscapes!

These guys are so good. Their music sounds ephemeral... timeless. You could probably play this 10, 20 years in the future and it wouldn't sound dated.

If this isn't a 10... it's close.
This would be a good song to have playing when someone tells you they love you.
Wait...any song would suffice.
Really liking this tune.
Like this band a lot, check out their live videos.

Saw TWOD this summer at an outdoor festival.  Was pleasantly surprised how hard and raw they were.  I love the mellowness of their albums at home, but in concert the harder presentation and searing guitar was awesome!
Saw TWOD at the O2 Arena in London earlier this year and the very first track they played had such a powerful drum kick-in that it felt like I had been punched in the chest....and we weren't even that close to the stage....quite stunning !
Great friggin song...

Yeah,  a lot of them sound very similar, and that 11-minute tune from this album was just played a couple of hours ago.  Anyhow, it's wistful, pleasant, harmless, well-crafted stuff and people seem to enjoy it.

Great band though and a great album. Sounds quite Tom Petty-ish in there at times (in a very good way).

You know they say, sometimes, they don't make good music anymore? This is proof, that ain't true. Outstanding.
Ooh, this song made me stop what I was doing to come here, and look up what/who. Nice! Really like the instrumentation. And I don't care if the band has a stupid name; not gonna trash a good song because of that.{#Naughty}
Suck that hash !

Nice, evocative music. The bland lyrics, the flat singing and the muddy production need upgrades, though.  Too many listens and the listeners are the ones who suffer.

I like many songs by this band, but they have the dumbest band name since "The The".  Seriously, you say "I like the war on drugs" and people will look at you like you're on crack, so to speak.

Especially here in Colorado, where we have taken a big step towards sanity by legalizing cannabis. I drive by a brightly colored dispensary everyday taking my kid to preschool and she said one day, "That's where grownups go to play".  Yep kid, nailed it.

Agree, and as a supporter, its not my turn to cast the music, i have to trust the station team and i am not dissapointed by RP!
A lot of suffering this morning, but this song is not bad!

This is really nice.
When Bill introduces this band i can't help thinking 'yep thats definitely the best way to be doing war'

And i quite like them.

FYI, we pay the same rate for all music we play. If you hear something more often it's because it's a new release, or we like it a lot, or both.

Lets hope that calle01 herd that!!{#Tongue}

I know this band is popular on RP but I'm just not getting it. Their music leaves me cold, I find it discordant and depressing.

With the amount of airplay they're getting I'll be having plenty of opportunity to see if they grow on me. Not happening to date, if anything the opposite.
We be suffering with pleasure...  this song is marvelous...  love it...  we give this band 14 thumbs up...

Radio Paradise is the best radio station in the history of our galaxy...

I KNOW? Its true.
Seems we pay and about 30% of the music is really great and I truly enjoy it..
Sadly the other 70% is whining, sad, desperate and simply pathetic music that most cant bear and RP must get the rights for dirt cheap?
Hoping my comments are herd by DJ Bill and he spends more money and reverses my % estimate.

Well, I guess you can always hope that Bill plays less of the #1 rated new cd on his site, but I doubt that it will work.

I'm pretty sure that's the exact piano sound they wanted; it's not there 'by mistake' or because no one heard it over a two-year recording period.
I like most of the songs on this CD, but this one's just too dreary.
Beautiful instrumentation and smooth vocals with just a hint of emotion,...since I turned the volume up on hearing the first few bars it get's an 8 from me.
That image (on RP-HD) of the little kid being passed through barbed wire is heart breaking.
Lovely tune.

I have never heard of The War on Drugs; heard about it the other one though. Very nicely done. I was surprised to see it isn't one of the more popular songs on the album. if this is this good; can't wait to hear the ones that are the top sellers.
Was nice enough to find me toggling browser tabs to find out who was playing….
Pieces remind me of Primitive Radio Gods.   I miss them.
This song is good for the ears...
Just picked up this album - it has a very nice flow beginning to end.  It worked VERY well while on a recent car trip. A solid "7" overall I would say.

Spot on, I say.  Great album.  I hope they do really well for themselves and get the success they deserve.

The last part of the song reminds me of some of the older Van Morrison...two chord progression, improvised lyric stuff he is famous for. Great stuff, I bought the recording

Wow!  No haters!

I hate wanting to not like something simply 'coz peer pressure says I should.
love this song!  been in heavy rotation on my ipod for awhile now - can't get enough of this band
Sounds like something Lennon might have written...but still quite unique in its own.
a beautiful piece {#Daisy}
Something about his voice just sends shivers down my spine...

A lot of this CD sounds like 80s radio hits (Bruce Springsteen and Bruce Hornsby come to mind) that I really did not like that much.  His voice just distils all that into a smooth, relaxed tone that just sounds so cool and mellow.  I love the slide guitars on the whole CD, very unconventional arrangements yet quite familiar sounding at the same time.
