You can say that you're running ' cuz I can go back on the street
I'll be here when we both gonna fake it
We're awake
No more try to hear killing your goal
Means I can be bigger then the tones
In the moments of suffering
Like the feeling that you gave me, like a snowflake though the fire
I'll be frozen in time but you'll be here
Suffering
Will you be here suffering?
Will you be here suffering?
Well I hope to be here
Radio Paradise has literally kept me alive for the past decade! Every time the DJ's thank the audience for listening, I thank them back with sheer gratitude.
and a monthly monetary contribution
I could listen to this band all day...
I have...
I believe that was their point - you know: irony?
Have steered me away from commercial radio and the same crap day after day
AND wfuv! To ya from Bloomfield, NJ
Sounds like you should get a different station. I enjoy the wide variety of music, be it upbeat, melancholy, fast, slow, whatever. I don't like every song, but overall, it's great stuff - much of it which I would never have heard if it wasn't for RP. Keep it up Bill!

Why must everything American be a war?
What?
As for RP not spending enough money, perhaps you should try running a radio station without adverts and no thanks!
I hate the war on drugs but I Love The War on Drugs!!

I wish they had just called themselves Granduciel. It's a lovely word that somehow captures their music.
I understand that the artist's real name is Granofsky, and he assumed the stage name after a French teacher translated "Granofsky" into "Granduciel."
Just joined this community tonight officially. I have been checking in for years though. You guys rock plat forming this kind of venue. Thank you for keeping it rich and authentic regardless of the flack here and there from listeners. You can't please everyone as they say.

If this isn't a 10... it's close.
Wait...any song would suffice.
Really liking this tune.
Or on Friday when the work is nearly finished
This and Bach.
Definitely not a driving song (unless you're in the middle of the desert under a full moon with the top down).
Ah, but hopefully there's no saguaro growing in the middle of that desert ;)

I often do
You have a point but I like their sound regardless.
Don't get me wrong, that's a 7 for me
For their other songs I gave 8's and 9's
Great sound to my old ears as well
Yeah, a lot of them sound very similar, and that 11-minute tune from this album was just played a couple of hours ago. Anyhow, it's wistful, pleasant, harmless, well-crafted stuff and people seem to enjoy it.

I don't know why I haven't bought this album yet. I guess now is a good time, and RP gets some $$ too. Done!

Sorry, not really seeing the Petty influence.
I second that! Love their sound.

Irony... thats what comes after laundry right?
Great band though and a great album. Sounds quite Tom Petty-ish in there at times (in a very good way).

Why do only fools, scam artists, cheaters, and lawyers run for elected office?
Don't answer - I don't really want to talk about it...
Actually that's the correct pronunciation.
"New-Cue-Lur" is the dumbass pronunciation, and probably the way George said it.
For the record, I'm definitely not a Dubyuh fan.
I was thinking of ordering this cd and based on your recommendation will do so.
Thanks E!
Hei! You are welcome S. -Erik
...but nothing was as dumb as living through the war on drugs...
Living thru 8 years of George "Nuke-Clee-er" Bush was, as "W" would say, dummer.

add Butthole Surfers, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Phil Collins

Especially here in Colorado, where we have taken a big step towards sanity by legalizing cannabis. I drive by a brightly colored dispensary everyday taking my kid to preschool and she said one day, "That's where grownups go to play". Yep kid, nailed it.

Question: Do any of the songs have absolutely anything to do with the so-called War on Drugs?
My impression is no.

Dear Kaiserosay, you (and only you) can edit your original posts to fix f-ups like that. Cheers!
That would be " to me" not time.
LOL! I think you nailed it.
This whole CD is terrific.
I'm not going to try and justify this one ... I just like it.
I like this song.
I'd be thrilled if I never heard another measure of David Bowie, which you rate highly.
I thought variety was one of the strengths of this community.
Or perhaps you're smart, I'm dumb; you're big, I'm little; you're right, I'm wrong, and there's nothing I can do about it.
Jah bless Bill & PSD

Agree, and as a supporter, its not my turn to cast the music, i have to trust the station team and i am not dissapointed by RP!

And i quite like them.
'calle01' is a troll and should be ignored.
FYI, we pay the same rate for all music we play. If you hear something more often it's because it's a new release, or we like it a lot, or both.
Also if most listeners "can't bear" a song or artist that'll be reflected in the ratings. As you can see, that's not the case here.
Lets hope that calle01 herd that!!

With the amount of airplay they're getting I'll be having plenty of opportunity to see if they grow on me. Not happening to date, if anything the opposite.
Radio Paradise is the best radio station in the history of our galaxy...
I KNOW? Its true.
Seems we pay and about 30% of the music is really great and I truly enjoy it..
Sadly the other 70% is whining, sad, desperate and simply pathetic music that most cant bear and RP must get the rights for dirt cheap?
Hoping my comments are herd by DJ Bill and he spends more money and reverses my % estimate.

Well, I guess you can always hope that Bill plays less of the #1 rated new cd on his site, but I doubt that it will work.
Agreed Just got out of the hospital.. had my son download the album and bring my ipad in. Good for me during a scary time. It hits me in the special spot. 8)
Sweet.
Your ratings profile makes me wonder why you are even here at all.
Great song off of a great cd.
I'm pretty sure that's the exact piano sound they wanted; it's not there 'by mistake' or because no one heard it over a two-year recording period.
Lovely tune.
Spot on, I say. Great album. I hope they do really well for themselves and get the success they deserve.
The last part of the song reminds me of some of the older Van Morrison...two chord progression, improvised lyric stuff he is famous for. Great stuff, I bought the recording
I hate wanting to not like something simply 'coz peer pressure says I should.
A lot of this CD sounds like 80s radio hits (Bruce Springsteen and Bruce Hornsby come to mind) that I really did not like that much. His voice just distils all that into a smooth, relaxed tone that just sounds so cool and mellow. I love the slide guitars on the whole CD, very unconventional arrangements yet quite familiar sounding at the same time.
WOD?
I like them. 8
