Fair weather, fair weather turning me
Turning my mind and eyes to be deceived
The truth, red flags...

Got a nice “Younger Brother” feel to it.

I love songs like this. It is just a vibe, a feeling that washes over you while listening. Nostalgia provoking...

8 that will probably turn into a 9 within a few more plays

Yes, I can hear that, particularly in the voice and tricksy rhythms, but also hear possible influences of Younger Brother and trip-hop. Balm for the lugholes. 8 from the tripped-out Nottingham jury.
Fred,
I'm thinking of issuing a tube of medicinal waxy substance called "Balm for the lugholes"
You wouldn't mind if I license this?

I loved this song, thank you. I'd be curious to learn more about the time signature or whatever else he's doing to get that sound. Remarkable. Hi, from Portlandia.
The lead vocals sounds a bit like a slightly younger Roland Orzabal. I like this and song very much!
I can't decide whether to give this a 1 or 10. It balances on that knife-edge between truly awful and inspired...

It's official. Alt-J has made their influence on others.

Read eyes to be deceived.
The horns carry the lovely sonorousness I loved in Dead Can Dance's later music and now miss. Thanks, RP! I'm liking a lot of what I'm hearing from this group.
OMG-you guys are blowing my mind this afternoon! I'm getting a buzz from just listening! !
So cool! Thank you Proclivities

Great music (I wish I had a jeweler's loup to visually explore that album art : )

I'm glad the bassoon was given a little love; those of our ilk are underappreciated.
Thought for sure this was Younger Brother. I like YB.
Wow. Very nice pairing of "Imogen Heap — Canvas" and this track ... go Bill.
I bought the album - it is excellent overall.
Loving this.
Sounding like Alt -J and, or Tame Impala.
The new sound.

Time to spend a little cash. Thanks for another discovery, Mr & Mrs G.

These guys were around before Alt-J, but this sort of "folk-tronica" sound has been around for quite a while - before these guys as well. It's not as if Alt-J has really been around long enough to "make their influence" anyhow. Obviously though, contemporaries often influence each other - they may even know each other.

A wonderful follow up even without the full band. Scintillating.
Bill will you stop playing this great music! I've been trying to add a second Sonos Play 3 for 2 hrs now but I can't turn RP off to complete the installation!

Very good and observant! ....and I like the tune for the record.
I like this tune too. It will take a few more listens to pinpoint the Alt-J-isms I'm hearing. Certainly the overall tone, the dub-steppish double-time percussion placed around the background, and some of the voicing. (But not the voice of Joe Newman!) It took me a while to appreciate Alt-J. It's good all around.
