Stand in shadows
To the gallows
This is a round up

This is a low flying panic attack
Sing the song on the jukebox that goes

Burn the witch
Burn the witch
In a village

Red crosses on wooden doors
And if you float you burn
Loose talk around tables
Abandon all reason
Avoid all eye contact
Do not react
Shoot the messengers

This is a low flying panic attack
Sing a song of sixpence that goes

Burn the witch
Burn the witch
We know where you live
We know where you live

Wonder if they can top this if Trump gets another term?

Radiohead are one of the few bands who get regular play time on this station that I really dislike. However I choose to listen to an eclectic station and the price I pay for that is I get a few tunes I don't care for now and then. Are Radiohead a price worth paying for the rest of the music? Absolutely!

Agreed.  I feel the same way about R.E.M.  but I'm not going to change to another station simply because they're on the playlist.
I not understand. But too theatratic

Off to the void with you then.
Looking back over the past five yrs worth of global politics I'd say this track is rather prescient  as well as damn good listening.
Burn Thom Yorke. Bleah
Love scrolling through the comments when Radiohead comes on. LOTS of haters out there. I get that some music isn't for  the masses, but it does seem like there is a disproportionate level of vitriol for the band, especially when the song rates a solid 7. Skip the song if you don't like it. Songs that rate much lower don't have half the critiques. Is it the commercial success of some artists that instigate this? Just get over it. Life's too short to for the BS.
This seems Kate Bush-inspired.

Just caught them on tour a couple nights ago. Phenomenal show. The newer stuff is just so much better live.
I can listen to this and understand why people think this is mind-blowing genius stuff. I can also understand why people can fixate on Thom York's voice and conclude that the entire song is crap. I am somewhere in the middle: I appreciate the deft playing & lyrics combined with lush production, but his normally fine vocals can be grating at times and, depending on my mood, the overall tone can come off as pretentious. A solid 7 with a good case for an 8.

People are free to love or hate or be indifferent to Radiohead, but why do so many of you haters lack the ability to express cogent arguments?

Where does this sloppy, ranting animus come from?  Are you incapable of recognizing musical complexity?  Do lyrics which investigate the human condition threaten you?  Does naked honesty in the human voice make you uncomfortable?  Do you resent it when difficult music you dislike is commercially successful?  Does your contempt come from a place of fear?  Are you worried there is something you should understand but have not been able to grasp yet?  Do you know even know what animus means?

Some great music is very simple and it is genius.  “Louie, Louie” comes to mind.  But great music is often difficult and even disturbing.  It can be complex, and take time to understand.  It can require you to open yourself up emotionally and intellectually and wrestle with it.  Like it or not, Radiohead are an “important” musical group in the world culture of popular music.  Aren’t you curious to know why this is the case?

If you count yourself amongst the Radiohead haters, then prove yourself worthy of your hatred.  Write something intelligent and honest that shows you have tried to engage with them.  Or go ahead and continue with the simplistic bile you feel the need to vomit out on your keyboard.  The rest of us will simply see your comments as a reflection of your intelligence.

Oh B Van get over yourself. Im not a hater and I respect Radiohead for continuing to evolve their sound, but I think you're wearing your skinny jeans too tight mate. The snobbery dripping off your comment is almost funny. I was 25 when Creep came out. I've always been able to enjoy RH in small bites. As a sometime songwriter I have mixed responses to their stuff. To me their stuff masquerades as being more avant-garde than it really is. The production is superb, but the songs, structure-wise, are driven by a pretty formulaic aesthetic. Thom's vocals in particular are starting to sound lazy to me, like a.middle-aged man who's resting on his tried and true formula a bit too much.
That isn't to say I don't enjoy the music - I do - but I've always taken this band - and fans like yourself who like to wear their fandom like some intellectual badge of honour - with a pinch of salt.
Radiohead=PSD time!!
My mom's a witch...a good one tho. I like this tune

This. Squared.

Yorke's voice distracts me far too much to ever be able to appreciate the music, though I recognize there's something very good back there I'd love to be able to hear in peace. Every time Yorke opens his caterwauling mouth I cannot stop hearing the similarity with Herbert from Family Guy. Apparently I'm not alone in this...

Art requires that new forms are created. You may not like them, but that's your choice. Love them or hate them, no one sounds like Radiohead. I have all their albums and do find some of their work depressing, but the world is not pretty and its ok for artists to reflect this.

Burn this track… awful!
The video for this resurrects the Wicker Man
I'll take a melody,
I'll take a simple C to G
...... very good, very Radiohead and gets a BIG 9.   The promotional video is brilliant.
I like that wicked splash of an album cover!
I really do like this song.  I crave it.
Hear hear! Thom Yorke's voice can provoke suicide.

This is 1 out of 2 Radiohead songs that I quite like... And I cannot stand them generally (mostly his thin whinny voice).
9 plays in the last month.

Yes.  Bravo, Sir!
Fantastic track. Brilliant commentary and gripping score. At least this planets grim politics and sick society transform into great music.

"We have found a witch, may we burn her?"

(Somebody had to do it.)
yay, new Radio head! {#Cheers}
Heard much about it but not the song until today. I like it—good use of the chaotic strings and loss of tuning through the end.

You may not like te music, the vocals, the lyrics or anything else, but how can you possibly say this band is UNISPIRED, if by that you mean pedestrian, same as everyone else, boring etc?

As you rightly state, we are all entiteld to our own opinion. And my opinion is just that the music of Radiohead is uninspired (except very few songs). Radiohead is a pedestrian and boring band as many others out there. If millions of listeners think differently...it´s fine with me.

Good description, but with one mistake:
Correct is: it does sound like Ludovico Einaudi with guitar and vocal.
The mistake: It is not a excellent song; it is horrible, the same old whiny and uninspired Radiohead stuff.
Einaudi Ludovico alone is already bad, but the voice of Thom Yorke makes it perfectly unbearable.

Finally listened all the way through the album.  It is contemplative, orchestral (in a RH way), and generally sublime.  NOT like any other album, and definitely more engaging for me overall than the last.  Still need to allow it to evolve - lots there.  Overall it's a know brainer for any fan.
Hurrah! Radio Head have got their heads out of their asses and are making good music again! Joy!
Claymation ("Wallace and Gromit", "Shaun the Sheep") + "The Wicker Man" (the British original version) = This video
Great music video and a powerful message. wb RH.

This is very promising for the new album....I just wish they would release it already?!
Nice to hear this in rotation!!
Radiohead = 10

A universal truth.
Radiohead studio tracks take on another dimension when you see them live. Everything in its right place so to speak. Loving the orchestral wail of this.

I know this song will be awesome live. Now I just need a ticket to see them.
Good strings and production. Sounds like Radiohead.
Puleeeeze stop with the Radiohead! PSD time
New Radiohead, cool.
