Great. Clapton’s good old ballsy version before the bow tie and mineral water fluff of the unplugged session. Actually, that one wasn’t too bad either if you can ignore the irritating audience clap along.

I tend to agree - his later work seems clamped to metronomic 1-2-3-4 instead of the soul-felt bluesy flexibility.

I just heard 2 songs ago RL Burnside for the first time. Clapton is a good generic blues interpreter.

My fans will lap this shit up. They'll even wanna see it on my next Greatest Hits album, which is due out soon, as I haven't had one for at least three years."

According to Clapton this was one of his best albums. I can agree, it is quite mature and you feel that he just enjoys playing. This song and the following acustic version is a good example. Man, this just makes me stand up and sing!!

Saw the tour for this album. Was definitely a low energy laid back effort. Not my favorite stuff that he has done, but better than OK.

Adore Clapton, but if you're going to play "Before you accuse me" then the Creedence Clearwater Revival version is INFINITELY better. This is pedestrian in comparison.

Was sooooooo glad he included this when I saw him 2010... one of my all time favorite albums. Kudos to Setlist.fm for informing me of the entire playlist including the fact this is a Bo Diddley cover...
